The last part is what I found interesting. Seems our elected leaders are offended when the peons speak their minds.

Well.... Isn’t that last line special. This ties right in with the DUFU funnies about getting the fairness doctrine put in again. With that statement Trent just became the DUmmies favorite Republican for the week.

If the amnesty passes, count on me to resign my Republican voter registration on the next business day.

::::::
They don’t like it when their malfeasance is questioned by the citizens of this nation under the First Amendment. After all, what do you think was the reasoning behind McCain-Feingold and WHY BUSH SIGNED IT ??? Yes, suppression of FREE SPEECH against the POLITICAL CLASS.

Just an FYI to anyone who receives a call from the RNC asking for money. If you have given money in the last year you can ask for a refund. Don’t just say you’ll never give any money again. Actually ask to get your money back.

Well it appears the House members are hearing the people. Look what just passed in the House:

Tancredo wins surprise immigration vote

By Chris Barge, Rocky Mountain News
June 15, 2007
Washington, D.C. – The U.S. House of Representatives this morning voted to withhold federal emergency services funding for “sanctuary cities” that protect illegal immigrants.

The House passed the amendment, 234 to 189, with 50 Democrats voting in favor.

The immigration bill, ardently sought by President Bush....

"ardently" is the right word.

He's so out of touch on this, how can I believe him on anything else anymore?

"offer legal status to most of the estimated 12 million illegal immigrants. "

Millions of new Democrat voters, 10's of millions continue on taxpayer-funded educations, medical care, welfare, etc., and ALL as a reward for breaking existing laws. Employers all over America rejoice that their donations have purchased a piece of legislation that legalizes their law-breaking use of under-paid illegal employees, and Congress shoves it up American's keisters!

Is this a great country or what?

I entertained thoughts in the beginning of all this amnesty crap that the Senate would go through the motions, have a few debates, sip a large amount of adult beverages, have a vote or two, sip some more adult beverages and then decide that a decision could not be reached and we’ll all just be happy and pleased as punch, sip some more adult kool-aid and walk away from it saying that we tried, but we’re just gonna have to let things remain with this illegal problem. It’s Bush’s fault, it’s the Dems fault, it’s the pubbies fault. Yep, we worked hard on the problem and we decided that not fixin it would be the best course. Now, where’s the 14 year old Scotch?
