WASHINGTON, June 14 Senate Democratic and Republican leaders announced on Thursday that they had agreed on a way to revive a comprehensive immigration bill that was pulled off the Senate floor seven days ago.
The majority leader, Harry Reid, Democrat of Nevada, and the minority leader, Mitch McConnell, Republican of Kentucky, said they expected the bill to return to the floor before the Fourth of July recess.
In a joint statement, Mr. Reid and Mr. McConnell said: We met this evening with several of the senators involved in the immigration bill negotiations. Based on that discussion, the immigration bill will return to the Senate floor after completion of the energy bill.
The immigration bill, ardently sought by President Bush, would make the biggest changes in immigration law and policy in more than 20 years.
It would increase border security, crack down on companies that employ illegal immigrants, establish a guest worker program and offer legal status to most of the estimated 12 million illegal immigrants.
...
The Republican whip, Trent Lott of Mississippi, who supports the bill, said: Talk radio is running America. We have to deal with that problem.

Speaking to those steaming piles of horse turds in the Senate.
If the amnesty passes, count on me to resign my Republican voter registration on the next business day.
Seems our elected leaders are offended when the peons speak their minds.

They don’t like it when their malfeasance is questioned by the citizens of this nation under the First Amendment. After all, what do you think was the reasoning behind McCain-Feingold and WHY BUSH SIGNED IT ??? Yes, suppression of FREE SPEECH against the POLITICAL CLASS.
Its a f’ing outrage.
Just an FYI to anyone who receives a call from the RNC asking for money. If you have given money in the last year you can ask for a refund. Don’t just say you’ll never give any money again. Actually ask to get your money back.

You have plenty of reason to do it alread, as I have. The Repubs got blasted big time about their malfeasance and treasonous behavoir and I pulled ALL MY SUPPORT from the Repub party. They can thank Bush and the RINO following for that, big time. They completely back-stabbed the conservative base that put them in power.

Don’t forget to add the House as well. WHEN will they start enforcing existing laws?
Hope everybody is talking names and getting ready to kick butt. These turn coat Republicans are gonna pay for this next primary time.
Well it appears the House members are hearing the people. Look what just passed in the House:

"ardently" is the right word.
He's so out of touch on this, how can I believe him on anything else anymore?
He wants something other than the war as his legacy, and this is what we are getting shafted with.
