WASHINGTON Republicans and Democrats were nearing a deal Tuesday on a sweeping immigration overhaul that would give millions of illegal immigrants a chance at legal status but strictly limit future arrivals from staying in the U.S.
Senators and White House officials negotiating through the afternoon and into the evening said an elusive compromise was in sight. With details changing rapidly, it was unclear whether the talks would result in a breakthrough or a meltdown.
"Eighty-twenty!" said an upbeat Sen. Lindsey Graham, R-S.C., one of the key players in the talks, giving strong odds of a deal he said could be announced as early as Wednesday.
In a hopeful sign for a potential deal, Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid, D-Nev., postponed until Monday a vote that had been scheduled for Wednesday on bringing up an immigration measure that passed the Senate last year.
That bill had the support of most Democrats but was opposed by a majority of Republicans, who had promised to block it. The vote designed to pressure negotiators into reaching a new deal was shaping up as a highly partisan start to the already intense debate over immigration.

CALL THE RNC AND TELL THEM NO MONEY....EVER!!!
“but strictly limit future arrivals from staying in the U.S.”
That’s the fraudulent part. There aren’t going to be any meaningful restrictions, and they know it.
Time to use the ammo box!
A “deal”? Yeah right....give away our country. No new laws...”ENFORCE EXISTING LAW” and hang those that don’t.
Seems to me we heard the same thing just two weeks ago.
That photo depicts perfectly what our Congress thinks of us!

This is what I sent to my congressional traitors today.
Dear Sir,
The immigration reform bill must NOT be passed.
No amount of amendments can or will make this bill acceptable to the American people. Both Republicans and Democrats have lobbied their Senators non-stop on this issue and yet you persist in trying to foist this unwanted and unneeded legislation upon us.
It only adds costs to the American people with no real enforcement of our borders only vague promises for the future.
We the American people want you to enforce the current laws. Deport those illegal immigrants in jails. Deport those illegal immigrants caught through all possible means. Punish employers of illegal immigrants. Stop all non-emergency services for illegal immigrants including education and non-life threatening medical services. Enforce border security. Build the fence.
Do this first and then we will listen to ways to allow a migrant worker program.
If you fail in carrying out the will of the people you will be removed from office either through the vote or if necessary other legal means.
We the American people have had enough of your pandering and corruption. It stops now or at the very least the Republican Party will be nothing more than a permanent minority party. You will have decided to abandon your duty to the Constitution and we will abandon you.
Sincerely,
Do I hear a giddy turncoat scumbag Cockroach chirping in the Senate chambers?

We hear a whole chorus of them — led by their chief benefactor and arm-twister.
Did that two years ago
To borrow from John and Ken, these people are steaming sacks of horse turds. And that’s an understatement.
What did I tell you? What did I tell you? I hope you listened, cause here it comes.
Thank you for that post!!
Hey, two weeks ago before it was delayed the first time I said they would pass this pig!
This is not a suprise to me but it is a call to arms.
Heavenly Father, if it is in your will, please let this attempt to lie to Americans and destroy the country you helped create FAIL! In Jesus name, Amen.
It’s time to ask for God’s help folks....
