HERE WE GO AGAIN WITH THE AMNESTY BILL
Boortz.com ^ | 06/15/2007 | Neal Boortz

Posted on 06/15/2007 5:21:00 AM PDT by NapkinUser

Let's cut to the chase here. The pro-amnesty politicians in Washington think that the little snit thrown by the American people is now over. Now that we've had our fun -- now that we've chased the amnesty bill from the floor of the Senate -- they think that they can now bring it back with some meaningless words about amendments and the American people will let it slide this time.

OK ... so Harry Reid and Mitch McConnell, the majority and minority leaders, have reached some sort of a "deal" that will allow amendments to be proposed to the amnesty bill. The likelihood is that no amendments will actually be adopted. If any do make it through they will have no real affect on the amnesty provisions of the bill. It's a smokescreen. Look for the bill to pass the Senate in pretty much its present form ... amnesty and weak border protection intact.

Oh .. .and the president's promise to dedicate 4.4 billion to border security? We were supposed to spend this money anyway under previous border protection laws! Why didn't we? All the president is promising here is to do what the laws that already exist require him to do. He says the money will come from the fines paid by illegals seeking legal residency status. Come on, folks. Do you think those fines are really going to be paid? I can hear the screams from the left right now: "Poor Pablo is trying to raise a family. How can we ask him to pay so much money to the U.S. Government when he needs that money to buy medicine and food for little Pablo and Julio? We need to show our humanity by waiving these fines!" Get with the program, folks. The vast majority of these so-called fines will never be collected. You know it, and so does the president.

Are the Senators right? Is the president right? Is your guard down? Are you tired of fighting the Mexican invasion? If these Senators don't hear from you this bill will be before the house before you can say no hablo Espanol.

So possessed by this issue are those in congress that not even an army of exorcists can rid them of this demon.

My guard is not down, and I'm energized for the fight.

I became RE -energized this morning when I arose at 2AM with a stomach ache that was pure nerves from all this amnesty junk.....The spirit of FEAR was paralyzing me!

I decided then and there to give it back to God...and renew my zeal as He renews my strength.

I will PRAY....I will CALL...I will do whatever it takes.

DON'T GIVE UP.....DON'T BACK DOWN....DON'T BE AFRAID!!!

PRESS ON!

Calling Senators is all well and good, and I have been doing it regularly, but I don't believe they think there will be any real consequences for them personally if they vote for amnesty. And they are right in that there is nothing citizens can do right now to exact any cost for their votes. I think it is time to up the ante and make a credible threat of immediate impeachment of President Bush on this issue. Millions of people calling their Congressional representatives and demanding that impeachment charges be brought against Bush for his failure to uphold his oath in enforcing our democratically enacted laws and for his usurpation of the legislative authority of the people will get the attention of the Senate and of the President.

Bush's acts exhibit extreme disdain and contempt for the legislative authority of the people on illegal immigration and he has substituted his own arbitrary and capricious whim for the rule of law as determined by the people through their elected representatives. He has implemented his personal open borders policy in defiance of our laws and against the will of the overwhelming majority of citizens. In doing this for the past 7 years he has rejected the basis of our constitution and our republican form of government -- the sovereignty of the people. He does not believe that "the people" have a say in this illegal immigration matter. He simply does not believe in our system of republican self-government.

All legislative authority in our republican form of government rests with the people which we exercise through our elected representatives. The House of Representatives is the guardian of our sovereignty and the constitutional remedy for a chief executive who arrogantly abuses the trust of the people by disregarding their laws is impeachment. The founders gave us this remedy of impeachment to provide a method short of revolution for the people to rise up and throw off the rule of a chief executive who subverts our system of republican self-government.

I spent considerable time explaining to a Congressional aide why it is the duty of the House to defend the legislative authority of the people against usurpation by President Bush. These are the most serious charges that can be brought because if a President can substitute his personal whim for the people's laws then we no longer have a republican form of government as guaranteed by the constitution. It is that simple. If we want to preserve self-government and the legislative authority of the people for ourselves and our descendants then we must impeach a President who so clearly and demonstrably refuses to be restrained from defying the people's laws and substituting his personal rule for will of the people.

Elected officials have much in common with diapers.

They both must be changed frequently.

And for the same reason.

DON’T FORGET WHAT THESE IDIOTS DID WHEN THE ELECTION ROLLS AROUND!!

Maybe some fear can be put into them. The Senate is acting like the House of Lords from two centuries back.

If only!

From what I understand the HoL was primarily a yea-or-nay group that passed judgement on matters proposed by the House of Commons. So Congres isn't like the HoL so much as it is ...

Thank you for that correction. I wish learning could come under better circumstances.

First time in my life, I’m really worried for this country at home. Never did I think the Republic would be destroyed from within. I thought that ended with the Soviet Union and their traitor lackey supporters here after Reagan.

How wrong I was.

Here is a copy of a letter I just emailed and faxed to my congress critters.

Dear Sir,

The immigration reform bill must NOT be passed.

No amount of amendments can or will make this bill acceptable to the American people. Both Republicans and Democrats have lobbied their Senators non-stop on this issue and yet you persist in trying to foist this unwanted and unneeded legislation upon us.

It only adds costs to the American people with no real enforcement of our borders only vague promises for the future.

We the American people want you to enforce the current laws. Deport those illegal immigrants in jails. Deport those illegal immigrants caught through all possible means. Punish employers of illegal immigrants. Stop all non-emergency services for illegal immigrants including education and non-life threatening medical services. Enforce border security. Build the fence.

Do this first and then we will listen to ways to allow a migrant worker program.

If you fail in carrying out the will of the people you will be removed from office either through the vote or if necessary other legal means.

We the American people have had enough of your pandering and corruption. It stops now or at the very least the Republican Party will be nothing more than a permanent minority party. You will have decided to abandon your duty to the Constitution and we will abandon you.

RE: http://www.usdoj.gov/criminal/fraud/websites/idtheft.html

When contacting Congressmen you might suggest a cost saving measure. Have them tell DOJ that ID theft is no longer a crime. Maybe it'll save some money for the Department. Thanks.

Wot?

Still a crime.. it is? Oh, for citizens and legal residents it's still a crime. Everyone else has immunity. . . .

"Mission accomplished," "Bring it on," "Wanted: Dead or alive," and of course, "I earned ... political capital, and now I intend to spend it," he has added "I'll see you at the bill signing,"

The "I'll see you at the bill signing” that Bush proclaims “is not dead " is too stupid for words and is making the speculation of a hidden agenda VERY credible. In fact, I, as many here, would no longer believe any theory to the contrary.

So... if the President does not pull back now and comply with the will of the people AND his own party (because they still have to answer to the voters) then there can be no other logical conclusion than the President does have a hidden agenda, it is not in the interests of American Citizens and the demonstration of total distain for the will of the people in the form of government proclamations that are not "from the consent of the governed" will cause MAJOR upheaval in the very structure of our government.

The total distain by the current administration for the will of the people in the form of government proclamations are also pointing to the exact organizations and individuals that are controlling the President. And control it is because everyone, right down to the dummies at DU can see that no matter how many times the President tries to tell everyone “this is not amnesty” no one believes him because right there in the bill IS AMNESTY!. You even spell out that it is amnesty while trying to say it is not!

..from FOX news TODAY!

The base immigration bill seeks to tighten border security, put an estimated 12 million illegal immigrants on a path to permanent residency

What is the Presidents motivation to lie?

What kind of fools are you people?

Are you inventing a new level of low in backstabbing pond scum?

Do you, or anyone among you really think ANYONE believes you any longer? This administration has not a single shred of credibility left.

You guys are soooooooo outta here.

Hey, those graphics are neat, but I can tell you for sure that they underestimate the number of illegals in Nevada by at least a third.

I said that wrong, the chart shows only a half to a third as many illegals as are actually here.

All the charts are LOWER LIMITS.

The first shows the rate of infestation.

The second is unfortunately OLD, OLD, OLD.
