It is right, because I think it’s right. Yes I have my son circumcised, just as I was circumcised as an infant.
I don’t feel the need to defend it. It’s a normal thing which was done to male members in our family since generations without second thoughts.

I’m not afraid to have missed anything. Actually some of my friends (at high school) who were not circumcised, regretted it, and whished they had an circumcision early on. When older, it becomes psychologically more difficult to have an circumcision. I never heard anyone (infant or adult circ) complain about it.

I don’t intend to reveal my private life, but since it’s relevant, I’ll just say that I and my wife never had any problems, quite the opposite.

Like I said, circumcision is so prevalent in your life that you CANNOT disagree with it. I have been in discussions about this before and I find your "agreement because you (and your son) are circumcised" very typical. It is the reason the practice is still so widespread in the US.

I don't like revealing my private life either and the following could get a bit crass but if it can prevent this from happening to just one child it is worth it. My parents told me they wished to keep me the way God made me and I've thanked them for it profusely.

You said you had friends in high school that regretted it and I can completely relate. I too regretted it in high school because I was so different down there from everyone else in the locker room shower. It is only peer pressure that made your friends regret being different.

You mention never having problems with your wife? Well most of the women I have dated confided in me that they enjoyed sex much more because it chafed less than all the circumcized guys. Claims that they could go a lot longer or women that had dryness problems with others but not me were common.

Claims it is dirty or unsanitary or infectious are preposterous. I've never had any of these problems and in this day and age of daily showers I can't imagine basic hygeine being difficult for those in the US.

Circumcision needs to be looked at again and those who just claim it has always been done to the men in their family need to strongly consider breaking that trend. God did not make a mistake creating us with a foreskin.

CIRCUMCISION: Did you know?
