Well, it is pretty poor class if that place and opportunity is ruined because a few are too ignorant to act appropriately.

How often do politicians attend town hall meetings? Very seldom. We have a person trying to link us up with the White House and, lo, people here think it is Jerry Springer showtime.

Thank your cohorts for trashing the president for eight solid years, giving absolutely no support and now ruining your opportunity to discuss issues with the White House listening.

And you choose to support them rather than your right to have an effect on a very serious issue of our time? What is wrong with you?

What is wrong with ME? Excuse me, show me where I have made any comment that would lead you to think I have even participated at all yet? I merely pointed out what I see.

Ohh, thats right, you haven't read all 700 posts to know my level of participation.

Um...you might want to recheck that. The whole point of a town hall meeting is for the people of the town to discuss issues with politicians.

Town hall meetings always have elected officials there.

Thanks for letting us know we're not "intelligent" on this thread.

Clancy, you haven't made a post yet that doesn't urge us to "discuss", not slam.

I can't remember an issue that hasn't been discussed on this board more than this one. It's been discussed, debated, turned upside down and inside out. It's been discussed on talk radion, on TV news, on panel discussions, in town halls, on campuses, at the water cooler. Need I go on?

The discussions for these past years has led us to CONCLUSIONS on this issue. Why discuss forever?

This is what the pro-amnestyites want us to do. Discuss, discuss, discuss. This is a favorite liberal strategerie, by the way.....wear folks down with infinite talk, discussions, debates, concensuses, sensitivity sessions, political correctness, Elsie Dinsmore comments, kumbayas.......

We're stating our CONCLUSIONS here. You don't like that and accuse us of trash talk.

I suggest you state your own opinions. Then pull your hair net down over your eyes when we do our plain talkin' you dislike so much.

Or perhaps there must be another forum you can go to for endless "discussions" on this amnesty issue. I think you'll be happier by far. Let us know next year when you finally reach a CONCLUSION. To Hades with more discussions. This thread is where the rubber meets the road.

Leni

President Bush took an oath to uphold the Constitution of the United States.

He lost a lot of supporters when he called us racist and bigots because we want the laws of this land enforced. He is the one doing the name calling.
