I still firmly believe each of these men will walk free (as they should). What they have been put through is a disgrace.

Our MSM is of an disgusting ilk that is hard to even comprehend. At every turn they are looking to help our enemies and hurt our efforts.

Great piece! What a difference some objective reporting makes.

It’s about time that tape was declassified so the public knows what conditions these Marines were operating under.

I wonder why the despicable murtha didn’t bother to mention any of these details when he pronounced these Marines guilty over one year ago. He said he got his info from some of the highest DOD sources. Murtha is nothing more than a POS.

“Haditha Truth Massacred by the Media”

Both the media and the Demoncrats will be sorely disappointed. The hate the troops, no matter what else they say, because the troops heroically represent all that is good about America — while the media and the Demoncrats represent..........

McGirk's sources were known insurgent propagandists and it was McGirk's Time reports that created the Haditha massacre hoax.

BLITZER: The marines say they're still investigating. They don't know what happened yet. The pentagon says the same thing. How do you know what happened?

MURTHA: Wolf, you read the "Time" magazine articles. There are pictures, there are photos. You don't have to talk to the military about the proof.

I have been taken to task around here for grouping Mattis in with Conway and Petraeus as useless political hacks and Democrat foils. Mattis, it is claimed, is the finest combat officer the Corps has produced since Korea. Well, that may be true but Mattis is the man in charge of this kangaroo court and these revelations have presumably been known by him since the beginning.

Now I have to wonder if Mattis’ reputation exceeds him.
He should have been done with this idiocy long ago.

God bless our brave men so unjustifiably incarcerated. May He grant them His extraordinary peace as they await their certain vindication. May their attorneys serve them pro bono. May they and their families be well compensated for a terrible separation. In Jesus’ name. Amen.

As a result, the media has emphasized all of the erroneous charges leveled by the prosecution, most of which rely on suspect testimony from anti-American Iraqis — some of them insurgents.

The author's credibility would be enhanced if he just said "terrorists".

In his testimony Capt. Dinsmore revealed that both men {al-Hadithi and al-Mashhadani} were operating freely throughout the province before purportedly announcing the creation of their human rights organization in early 2006. Marine intelligence officers were aware of their intelligence activities because their frequent cellular telephone conversations were monitored, they said.

I don’t understand why the US MArine Corps would go to such lengths to try these Marines if there was not good evidence agains them.

I don’t know why, if there was evidence that the Iraquis who filed complaints were insurgents and anti-American, the defense whould not present this evidence.

I do not know why, if there was not a problem with individual violations of Rules of Engagement, why Senior Officers from the USMC would have to travel to Iraq to lecture on the grond Marines in following orders, as happened in the last year.

I pray for these Marines because if they are innocent, they face a s*** storm unnecessarily- but if they are guilty, they should swing.

It is sad when our government takes the word of highly dubious sources instead of the word of our troops. And they can’t seem to figure out that Al Queda’s playbook specifically instructs their drones to accuse the military of any and every atrocity whenever possible to whoever will listen.

Sadly, the military seems to listen.

As for the press, i.e. Slime Magazine and Newsweak to name a few, I don’t know which is worse, their blatant incompetence, their bias against the U.S., or their indifference to whether we win or lose this battle. Hell, they can’t even get the “immigration” story correct, unable or unwilling to distinguish between legal and illegal aliens. My wife, a LEGAL immigrant, is enraged when the local and national news shows blur the truth like this.
