First chance I've had to post from my computer today. Haven't even read this entire thread, but will now.
Good bye, Brian. Catch up with you later.

Thanks for the ping Norm. Tonk was on my prayer list until yesterday and his family remains there.

May the Lord welcome him with open arms and the words all believers will hear one day, “Well done good and faithful servant.”

"VOW to the 58,000 + Brothers and Sisters on The Viet Nam Wall who never came home and to those who died at home from injuries and from broken hearts. I will do everything I LEGALLY can to expose Hanoi Kerry once and for all. I will not tire, I will not falter, and I will not fail. I solemnly vow to do all I can to restore your honor until I give my last breath on earth."--68-69TonkinGulfYachtClub
Makes the screen blurry, reading that again. He was an inspiration to us who sometimes wondered if there were as many people still waiting to take revenge on that blood-soaked patrician creep as we'd hoped...AND Tonk helped inspire people who weren't in or hadn't lost loved ones to the Viet Nam war to fight to clear the names of all of our service men and women who served in Viet Nam. As long as Kerry's name appears in the news, Tonk's legacy will live on in those he encouraged and inspired to continue the fight for truth.
He was a rare gem.

"I also regret the BS that he had to put up with from a bunch of turds."SOME of those turds think they got their revenge on Brian for exposing the TRUTH. They are wrong. Tonk is one more Vietnam veteran to add to the long list of good reasons NEVER to give up the fight to clear their names of the stains ground in by Kerry and Kompany.

This thread is getting seriously hard to read. The screen goes blurry once in a while. Prayers for strength to you and and all who loved and respected Tonk.
There is no need to pray he's in the arms of God....somehow, I just KNOW he already is.

Now he can sail amoung the angel’s domain, perhaps given the ability to look down on the many he helped and inspired.

Psalm 121
I will lift up mine eyes unto the hills, from whence cometh my help. My help cometh from the LORD, which made heaven and earth. He will not suffer thy foot to be moved: he that keepeth thee will not slumber. Behold, he that keepeth Israel shall neither slumber nor sleep. The LORD is thy keeper: the LORD is thy shade upon thy right hand. The sun shall not smite thee by day, nor the moon by night. The LORD shall preserve thee from all evil: he shall preserve thy soul. The LORD shall preserve thy going out and thy coming in from this time forth, and even for evermore.

Sincere prayers for all affected by this loss.
Tonk was a doll, no stranger to sacrifice, an inspiration to many to support those other great spirits who volunteer to defend us, kind, bold, and purpose-driven.
He was my own dougfromupland, but when he called, each and every week, it would always be to remind others to support our troops, to honor and laud them. He was truly one of a kind.
And, thus, this is truly a loss. Rest in peace, dear Brian. You served admirably well.
