“but right about the time I hit my third birdie on the front nine”

What put-put course were you on Rush? You must’ve birdied the windmill holes (just kidding).

Great post 2DV. Thanks.

I’m sorry. I’m just getting a sense that somehow, some way, this nonsense is going to go through.

I wrote to, e-mailed and called my local representatives. I have a Democrat in the House, a Democrat in the Senate, and a Republican who might as well be a Democrat also in the Senate. They all ignored me. None of our elected officials have ever given a dammmm about any of us...and it is on this issue that this fact becomes so readily apparent. I don’t mean to be defeatist, but I know a tiny bit about politics. One way or the other, this thing is going to be passed, if not now, at some time in the future. That is how the system is. And no matter who we put into office, it’s never going to change.

Dianne Feinstein and some others are claiming that they have never received so much racist communication in all their years in Congress.

Just like dems used to call Rush and say, "I'm a lifelong Republican, BUT..." and they'd fill in the blank with some anti-conservative garbage, they're most likely writing the letters themselves.

I just got thru to both of my senators offices Sununu and Gregg from NH on the 800 line. Both voted against cloture, and I asked how they planned on voting in the future if it comes up.

The "answering service" representatives had no clue? I expressed my concern for Bush trying persuading them to vote FOR this Amnsety sham and it appeared they are pretty dead set against this bill, we'll see!

I am of the opinion Bush is going to try to do everything to get "this" legislation passed, and it worries me to no end as to WHY he's so determined get this POS signed!

EVERYONE MUST CALL OR WRITE!!!

I keep trying the WH number but its always busy. I think they’re getting an ear full. I hope so!

GWB has done more to ruin the Republican Party than any Democrat could ever do. That’s his legacy.

According to Duncan Hunter:

"I don't think there's anything wrong with asking folks who come in illegally ... to go home. We deport thousands of people every month. I don't see any other way to re-establish the currency of American law than to keep the law."

RUSH: No -- look. I understand the point you're trying to make, but that's the exact opposite thing that would happen. The whole point of throwing the label (racist) out is to discredit you and everybody else. The last thing you want to do is accept the label.

Hmmmm, if we call each other that word - it takes power away from liberals using it against us. Kind of like the tactics blacks used against the "N" word.

If in a joking "in" way, we refer to ourselves as "racists", liberals can't use that hate word to hurt us... Think about it, Rush.

Your list shows Chambliss and Isakson as opposed to the amnesty bill. If fact, both have been vocal and determined supporters of the bill. In their words, they voted against cloture because the bill “is not good enough, YET.” They had other amendments that they were pushing, but in the end, they’ll support it and vote however the RNC, the President, and the national Chamber of Commerce tell them. They’re both in bed with the big agriculture/big business lobbyists.

That’s his legacy.

It's a shame. I'm a twice Bush voter too. I don't know why they just don't get it. Why they don't understand what they are doing is hurtful to the party and the country.

It’s time to ADVOCATE what we want.

A Real Immigration Reform Plan

The FEDS-AB Act of 2007

F – Fence
E – Enforce Current Laws
D – Deport Illegals
S – Secure ID and Sanction Violators
AB – Repeal the “Anchor Baby” provisions of the current law.

1. Secure the Borders (Fence)
a. Install 750 miles of fence within 180 days. Priority funding.
b. Hire, train, and deploy 5,000 new border agents ASAP, with extreme urgency. Priority funding.
c. Use military surveillance hardware/personnel to monitor fenced areas and unfenced gaps. Priority funding.

2. Deport Illegal Aliens (Enforce and Deport)
a. Priority 1 - Any illegal alien who has committed a non-violent crime and is currently incarcerated is to be immediately deported and permanently banned from entry into the US.
b. Priority 2 – Any illegal alien who is arrested/detained/discovered during the course of normal police activities is to be finger-printed, deported and permanently banned from entry into the US.
c. Priority 3 – Any illegal alien who is discovered through active ICE investigation processes is to be finger-printed, deported and permanently banned from entry into the US.

Note – This is not a “hunt them all down” initiative. This means that we enforce the existing laws and deport illegals when they are found.

3. Positive Identification/Punish Employers of Illegal Aliens (Secure and Sanction)
a. Institute a National Visa Database (NVD). Data entered by ICE, accessed via web by all potential employers.
b. Require all persons entering the US for the purpose of working to submit to fingerprinting and photograph. This person is issued a uniquely numbered ID card issued from the NVD with photograph.
c. Require ALL employers to provide proof of legal status for all employees. $100,000 fine per illegal alien employed.

4. End the “Anchor Baby” Law (AB)
a. Repeal the law extending citizenship to anyone born on U.S. soil.
b. Grant citizenship only to those born to American citizens and to those who have
i. Applied for U.S. citizenship AND
ii. been in the U.S. more than 1 year

We all also need to seriously plan the next moves just in case this legislation is passed by both Houses of Congress and then signed into “law” by President Bush! What should everyone seriously do next if “Shamnesty” does becomes “law” throughout the U.S.?

I don't know why they just don't get it.

In its simplest form, it's hubris. They're blue-blooded elitists who know more than we common folk. Sad, but true. That's what we voted into office.

In a more sinister form, it may be a global view of a North American Union. I know this is conspiracy kind of thinking, and I'm not yet sure I buy it, but there could be something to it. It would at least explain the friendship with Vincente Fox, the myopic bull-headedness for amnesty, and the complete disregard of the people's will.

But, who knows?

The immigration issue isn’t about race. Its about an alien invasion across open borders.

Oh how absolutely right you are and it isn’t about immigration either. That is the buzzword chosen because America is so much a product of Immmigration, and none of us are against immigration despite the outright lies of those pushing this piece of trash on the American People.

Alien Invasion is really what it is, and the fix is border security, NOT a comprehensive bill to kill the republican party and fix immigration which doesn’t need fixing.

...and my closing rant of over 10 years and counting, the US Senate is still and proving it on a daily basis, the single most dangerous body of men and women on the face of this earth bar none.

Don’t give up.

Repeated until you are sick of hearing it, and then repeat it again, until the win! Even then remain vigilant.

This is all about securing the border and stopping the illegal invasion of aliens, regardless of race creed color or religion.

And so we might add, what is racist about that desire?

If wanting secure borders is racist, then the Senate should look in the mirror.

Why did they pass the last set of immigration laws? To get amnesty.
At least they were honest about what they wanted the last go-around.

A Real Immigration Reform Plan

I must kindly and graciously object.

Immigration does not need reforming.

We have sufficient laws on the books.

Immigration, (a legal activity) is ongoing as we speak.

What is happening, is an Alien invasion of the first order.

Stopping the invasion and reversing the results, should be priority number one.

Anyone using the immigration word while discussing the true problem of border securtiy and the illegal invasion of aliens, has an agenda that has nothing to do with immigration, border security or alien invasion.
