I'm speechless after reading this. Has anyone else heard of this situation?

It seems to me that this is a case of looking back to times before something is known to be dangerous and seeking a big lawsuit to make the extremely wealthy trial lawyers even richer (much like asbestos). I don’t see that anything illegal was done.

yes, this has been ongoing for a few years. When I worked on base at Quantico notices were sent out about thyis. If you knew of anyone that lived at Camp Lejeune there were contact numbers given, etc., etc.
Day late and a dollar short....

A few brief searches gives me the impression that Camp Lejeune uses American Water Works.

American Water Works is owned by Germany. Whether this is related or not, I don’t think it is a good idea for our resources to be foreign owned.

A section of NYC had a water alert about 2 weeks ago for that dry cleaner stuff being in the water.

I’ve never heard of this. If even partially true, how tragic and what a disgusting response by our government.

Re-opening wells that have been closed due to contamination with industrial solvents, without telling the people to whose homes the contaminated water is being piped, sounds pretty criminal to me.

Maybe now, but this all happened 25+ years ago. Did you read it?

I lived in Tarawa Terrace in the 60’s when I was a kid. I heard a few years ago that a dry cleaners in Jacksonville had dumped solvents into the ground and the plume flowed underground to Tarawa Terrace into the water wells there. I don’t know how much I was exposed. I’m trying to locate my friends from that era to see how they are faring.
