“In other words, might be nothing to see here — move along, move along.”

Exactly. Maybe they were showing a video of a sheryl crow concert.

Just heard that they took her to the hospital and that they said she was not contagious.

I don’t think that I’ve ever read a post from someone in the crapper. This is a FR first.

More than likely, sudden onset would be symptomatic of a blood clot in the lung rather than any disease.

That’s what I was thinking too. When I first saw the “coughing up blood” in the title I thought “better not be Ebola...”

A sudden onset of hemoptysis from a person who was just a few hours/minutes apparently healthy and working?

OH OH!

“You know the passengers are freakin’.”

If I were on that plane, I’d be very tempted to break the law and smoke a cig!

So, you’re anti-flogging? Well, I guess it does go along with that “Do no harm” business:))

The very early reports of this story say that a doctor from the CDC flew to Rome and met with TB Boy who panicked when he was told about the Super Stain and decided he would die if he did not return to the States. So he and the bride circumvented the watch list and flew into Canada. On a crowded commercial flight. Not a private jet or a medivac flight. A commercial flight.

That is my beef with this entire episode. This man showed zero concern for the health and safety of the other people on that plane, and he did not know at that time exactly how contagious he was...that is the rub. The later stories about his new FIL being a TB specialist at the CDC leads me to believe that he might have been the doctor who flew to Rome. I think the FIL needs to go to prison for that, as he had a more thorough understanding of the disease and ramifications. I also don’t understand why they did not tell the Italian authorities about a case of highly dangerous TB in their country. Alround, this case stinks to high heaven.

“They ruled out infectious disease,” Roebuck said, but he did not elaborate.

Who is THEY and why should we trust THEM??
