I also have the Tonys on the tv near the pc, Cheaps. It used to be the only classy awards show that I could stand to watch, but unfortunately much of the class has left it, too. good grief!!

They are. I thought you guys already knew. I just found a TMZ notation on it from March.

ABC is looking to an unlikely place to find the next big television show: Geico TV commercials.

Yes, the net is developing a half-hour comedy based on the cavemen characters from the popular insurance ads. The show would revolve around three pre-historic men who must battle prejudice as they live their day-to-day lives in modern Atlanta. Who smells Emmy?

The Geico spots feature cavemen pissed off over Geico's slogan for its website: "So easy, a caveman can do it." At least they didn't try and make a show out of that stupid gecko, although that's probably next.

"popular" insurance ads?

I like how she apparently had time to ask for lip gloss before sitting down.

It’s one thing for a movie star to declare for governor of CA on the Tonight Show, but an honest-to-goodness presidential candidate doing it? Well, he’s an actor, too. I don’t know what to say about that.

How could we have an actor as president?!

Oh, wait...

Ya gotta admit... that is a nice mugshot.

I would take 5 days off her sentence just for that photo (but add 30 days for her whining).

Rush Limbaugh’s was better... he could’ve used that thing as a press photo.

Sorry, I don't pay any attention to "entertainment" television because I don't find it entertaining.

hey Fuddy, am going to keep an ear on the Tony’s .
For the past several years many plays who have won started in San Diego and some of the directors are locals.
Jack O’Brian who has lived a mile up the street has been a winner twice in recent yrs. has a play at Lincoln Center and another on Broadway and directing at the Met.
He is also in London getting another show under way.

Channel 5 says its live but could be tape delayed; if it is don’t tell me the result!

I don't know if it's live or not, but I doubt anyone needs to tell you the result! lol

What, you don’t find inane, half-baked ideas entertaining?

Speaking of half-baked, Matt’s playing Journey.

Did you actually pay money for that?

Yep. Cheap entertainment while hanging out with relatives. LOL.
