It’s doubtful if Rudy Giuliani is the “frontrunner,” as the media place him. He is certainly a liberal. He was liberal enough to be elected mayor of New York City.

In a nation where millions of voters can’t name the president and vice president, Giuliani is practically unknown.

There are plenty of good solid conservative Republicans but I saw none of them on the stage at the Republican debate in Manchester NH on June 5th.

Neither did I really. I have a lot of affection for Romney. I think he’d make a fantastic Secretary of the Treasury. Hunter would be a great SecDef. But as for the top, for me:

Thompson/Barbour 2008.

He polls at the top, with about 25% now. Give the front-loaded primary, that is a very dangerous thing. The RINOs would want him in there.

Your comment is unfair to the current field, which, excepting Rudy and McCain, is decent.
