We need more law enforcement officials like this man.

Now that’s a guy I could vote for.

Whoa! Let’s not let common sense break out; could give a few lawmakers whiplash.

Way to go, Sheriff Jones. Hope you get the Legislature to give you the authority you need.

"Let's create stricter state laws to go after employers who hire persons who are in this state illegally," he said. "Also, let's make English the official language of the state. Those who live in Ohio should know our language. Taxpayers should not have to pay for interpreters in schools, and U.S. citizens living here shouldn't have to learn another language."Thompson/Jones 2008!

I’ll take the opinion of someone on the front line any day over our legislative bureaucrats, who are accustomed to gated communities and private schools. This is the defining issue of our time.

It’s true. Do you know Cincinatus (sp) who established the Roman Republic? At that time the senators had to arrive barefoot to preside, and there were no perks, and they were term limited.

WE need to resurrect 'dual sovereignty' -- i.e. if both the state and the feds can go after someone for a PC crime like 'discrimination', then it stands to reason that the state can independently arrest and/or expel those who have no legal right to be within the country.
Cheers!

I visited my mom this afternoon and on her desk was a $35 check for the Republican Party...after a short conversation, she agreed to VOID the check but still send it in with the words “secure the border” in the notes section....great stuff....one proud son...

Before I read the article, I thought... that had to be my sheriff. And I was right.

I think politians (federal, state, and local) that say the same thing would be rewarded at the polls.
To: 2ndDivisionVet
Governments always encourage population growth by immigration. Politicians see illegal aliens as potential voters. They will never give in to the demand of the people to protect the U.S. from the illegal alien invasion now taking place. Trust me on this one.
Our only hope is for local government, and private citizen groups like the Minutemen, to step in as this sheriff did, and enforce the laws.

Now he’s just being racist!!!

We don't need an Immigration Bill, we need a Deportation Bill.

The only problem with that is that over the years that the Minutemen and other private citizen groups who have taken up the time and risk in doing so...
Their efforts have been demonized by every facet of every group who supports the illegality and amnesty of such criminal acts as coming into this country illegally...
Including the President of the United States...
I guess it just goes to show that when the citizens rub the governments nose into the poo poo, they don’t like it...But instead of cleaning up the poo poo, the government just looks the other way and ignores it...Or they try to pass some policy that tells us the poo poo on the floor is somehow decorative and has function in our house...
