The proportion of voters who identify themselves as Republicans has fallen to 30.8 percent from 37.3 percent during the 2004 election campaign, according to a recent Rasmussen poll.

Then it's not just "thousands" who have switched but hundreds of thousands, perhaps topping a million. And it might reach two million if Bush tries his treason zamnesty again.
