SPRINGDALE, Ark. (AP) — Tyson Fresh Meats Inc. recalled more than 40,000 pounds of ground beef Friday after samples tested at a Sherman, Texas, plant showed signs of E. coli contamination in meat shipped to Wal-Mart stores in 12 states.

No illnesses had been reported. Springdale-based Tyson Foods Inc. said the recall is not related to contaminated ground beef distributed by California-based United Food Group LLC.

The recalled products were sent to Wal-Mart stores in Alabama, Arkansas, Colorado, Kansas, Kentucky, Louisiana, Mississippi, Missouri, New Mexico, Oklahoma, Tennessee and Texas, Tyson said.

Has your China list, which was a pet food list, morphed into a food recall list?

::wow::

I wouldn’t touch any meat produced by Tyson on a bet.

Tyson took over a major beef company with the help of his friend Bill Clinton. Earlier, when the company refused a takeover offer, clinton sent in the federal inspectors, found all sorts of violations, knocked down their stock price, and enabled Tyson to buy them at a bargain rate.

Tyson and clinton go way back, and used to be pals in the drug smuggling business. Clinton ensured that Tyson chicken plants were never inspected, so for me it was a matter of health as well as politics never to buy a Tyson chicken.

Wasn’t this also the same company who had 60+ illegals on their workforce infected with TB? That and the fact that they are Clinton’s water boys makes me avoid their foods at all costs.

Never, never, never buy meat at Wal Mart.

It doesn't even look good. Sitting there an unnatural shade of red, swimming in that sodium solution.

I’ve been boycotting Tyson foods since way back in the Clinton years. Guess I don’t have to worry about this. Of course some of the frozen prepared things I buy may contain Tyson Chicken or beef—but I don’t know of a way to check up on that.

swimming in that sodium solution.

Oh, my goodness, YUCK! That solution is in pork and beef now. Chicken too. It actually has msg in it but covered up with a different name people don’t know.

Believe it or not, last night I took out an old fashion meat grinder and ran pieces of sirloin steak thru it and made a delicious hamburger. I plan on doing it more often.

WalMart is where to buy clays and shells for cheap. I raise my own chickens in my basement. They keep the spiders down.
