I suggest reading an Edger Rice Burroughs novel about how on Mars even aircraft flew with wireless radio beamed power for the electric motors.
This would be the largest technological achievement of the century if we could eventually power through the air for an electric car.
All autos in a city can run off of power cell sites, at the very least this could possibly end all these fruitless wars over oil control.
Unless the power plant runs off oil.
They're only fruitless because we haven't played to win yet.
This would be the largest technological achievement of the century if we could eventually power through the air for an electric car.I saw this demonstrated in Vancouver last week. All autos in a city can run off of power cell sites, at the very least this could possibly end all these fruitless wars over oil control.
Well, they used wires instead, and the wires were positioned above the street and the electric buses had poles that made contact with these wires.
As to 'power through the air; -
I doubt the environment would be 'healthy' were enough energy directed along our city streets to 'power' vehicles directly.
I imagine we could place mirrors along the sides of the streets though, to reflect additional sunlight to street level to allow the use of solar cells to convert light to DC power, but we would all still probably 'cook' in the process.
