>> What issue is more important to us today, Clinton's impeachment of 8 years ago or a massive nation-busting amnesty that almost passed thanks to Graham and company? <<

YOU'RE the one who said all the politicians should be quacking in their boots because conservatives "have a looooooooooong memory", now you're saying long-term effects are not important, what's important is voting on current events.

The fact some Republicans saved Clinton's butt 8 years ago still effects us today, because of those actions we now have Marc Rich still running llose and now we have HILLARY! ready to move back in the White House.

The fact some Republicans refuse to secure our borders right now will still have long term effects 8 years from now, and we'll still have 30 million people running around here illegally.

Since all your "conservatives with a looooooooooong memory" have conviently forgotten who voted to give Slick's treason a pass in 1999, I question whether all those "conservatives with a looooooooooong memory" will remember in 2018 who voted for a failed amnesty bill in 2007. My experience on FR is they don't remember "Treasonous" bills from 6 monthes ago, let along 8 years ago. Larry Craig voted for amnesty LAST YEAR and he's up for re-election in 2008, where's all the people beating down the door to "Take out Craig" in the next primary?

>> if you're asking me should we replace him today with a more liberal politician who might vote for amnesty in a flash then I'd say no. <<

No, I have never suggested this country would be better served by replacing him with a liberal Democrat. Personally I think we'd be better served if he was replaced in the primary with someone who isn't pro-Clinton and doesn't cozy up to terrorists, but that's just me. I don't need someone who's 100% conservative, just someone who's not a backstabbing twit and a media suckup (King loves WHOEVER is "popular" at that given moment in time) will do fine. Too bad all the conseratives who "never forgot" impeachment have zero motivation to run against him now.

I don't think this country would be better off with replacing a solid pro-life, pro-gun, pro-family, pro-ANWR drilling, pro-tax cuts conservaive like Lindsey Graham with a liberal Democrat, but some conservatives on FR have actually said they "regret" voting for Graham over socialist Democrat Alex Sanders in the general election, and will "never again" vote for him under ANY circumstances. If you agree we'd be better served with an abortion-loving surrender monkey RAT representing South Carolina, then I guess you'd be on that bandwagon, if not, I hope you would support Graham in the general election.

>> Dorgan is a democrat and probably sided with Clinton too but he played a big part in killing this bill. Better him than Graham or Kyl if that's what it comes down to. <<

I disagree. The fact you'd rather have Dorgan than Graham or Kyl in the Senate shows why Harry Reid is Majority Leader. You prefer people who vote your way 10% of the time over people who vote for your way 90% of the time if the 10%ers agree with you on a pet issue. Dorgan may be right on immigration but he is a slimebag socialist on the other 90% of the issues, Jon Kyl stands head and shoulders above him. If the Senate was filled with 100 Byron Dorgans, America would be a socialist state domestically and would have surrended to Al-Quada internationally by now. If the Senate was filled with 100 Jon Kyl's, we wouldn't need an amnesty bill because the border wall would be completed and the welfare state would have been dismantled a long time ago.

That's right, I did and why it was pointed out that Long Island doesn't have very many conservative voters, it's a liberal district. It's conservative voters that have long memories and they won't forget what Graham did. SC is by far more conservative than NYC, wouldn't you agree?

If you agree we'd be better served with an abortion-loving surrender monkey RAT representing South Carolina, then I guess you'd be on that bandwagon, if not, I hope you would support Graham in the general election.

Nowhere was that stated, I want Graham and Hagel defeated in the GOP primaries and believe there's a good chance they may be.

The fact you'd rather have Dorgan than Graham or Kyl in the Senate shows why Harry Reid is Majority Leader.

What does it matter who's in the Senate if amnesty gets passed? Do you realize at that point the massive demographic shift caused by such an act would mean that Americans would lose vast control over their destiny? We have Dorgan to partly at least thank that it didn't go through. With friends like Kyl and Graham who needs enemies? Again I prefer and hope they get beat in the primaries by better conservatives.
