I would assume the folks holding the signs want to buy tickets for the show. Back in the 1970’s we would go to a sold out concert and walk around the stadium shouting “need tickets.” Most of the time we got tickets for the show. Also I would never pay an outrageous price for a concert. I would pay between 20 and 50 dollars above face value of the ticket. Depends on who was playing.
