Senator Bernie Sanders addressed the US Senate concerning the proposed Immigration Bill. I listened to his remarks on C-Span2. He was critical of the bill and pointed out the damage that has been done to America by the business interests which are pushing for the bill, and the damage that it will cause. He offered an amendment that will prohibit corporations from trying to import foreign labor, while at the same time firing Americans.
I've never heard Senator Sanders speak before. He was eloquent and brave. I hope that all Americans who are concerned about the immigration debacle will have the opportunity to hear or read what he said about this terrible legislation.
Unfortunately, I don't know how you can get a transcript, or hear his speech, perhaps someone here can tell us.

I gotta ask....
Has this entire immigration reform fan-dance been a plot by the President and Karl Rove to totally destroy John McCain's presidential chances? 'Cause he's the one really twisting in the wind now....

“Convert or stopped clock?”
I’d say, a working clock, that has the right time for this immigration bill: QUITTING TIME

Bernie Sanders is a declared enemy of the American Constitution. As opposed to the rest of Congress, who are keeping that under wraps.

Righto. Sanders hit it out of park. Worth a read if possible. Call him socialist but, whatever, he represents Americans more than capitalist world citizen corporations.
No, he doesn't. He represents Vermont, and that's it--- and Vermont is hardly representative of the rest of America. As for "capitalist" corporations, they are in large part what has made America great, and hardly deserve to be compared with Sanders, regardless of how wrongheaded the position of the Chamber of Commerce is on this bill.

Time to give the devil his due. Sanders is right about this bill. He understands that the U.S.Chamber of Commerce is running policy in this Administration. That is why we do nothing against China, and also why we went after that family who were trying to overthrow the Commie Laotian government because they didn't want their textile deals disturbed. That is why Bush forced through the Mexican truck fiasco. And that is why he is so unalterably pushing the slave labor sieve through Congress.

leaving the RINOS high and dry I can think of worse outcomes.

Senator Sanders has shown, by his remarks today, that he is concerned about working Americans. He took shots at big business, at personal risk, no doubt. That earns him the name: Patriot.

If you had choked on your vomit would you refuse CPR from a “commie”?
To: gas0linealley
Of course not, but what does that have to do with Bernie Sanders being a commie? Sheesh. Get a grip, it was only an attempt at a joke.
