You know, I would almost be okay with this bill if they did the next best thing... put in a provision that nobody who came here illegally as a consenting adult can EVER get LPR status or citizenship. EVER. Ship them home as we catch them, and hammer the hell out of employers who hire illegals. Shut them down.
Give temporary workers who apply for a visa a chartreuse card that has to be renewed every two years, no entitlement to social security or welfare, and ship them home if they commit a crime or stop working.
