Like Reagan Without the New Ideas (Fred Thompson)

Or they could have said, "Like McCain without the petulant nuttiness" or "Like Giuliani without crossdressing" or "Like Tommy Thompson without the Zippy the Pinhead meets Jim Traficant look."

Thompson and Hunter seem on the money, as does Tancredo. But I may be cybnical, having lived most of my life across the from Babylon-on-the-Potomac, the GOP will likely nominate a RINO of some sort in 2008.....unless Queen Jezebel Hillary scares enough people or her mask drops and her true colors show.....

It isn’t really necessary to read past the “Jennifer Rubin” to know the ultimate agenda here.

Back to basics is what’s sorely needed in the GOP these days.

Yep was just reading that.

, we find the next MSM attack line of the day being Thompson's supposed "lack of experience" for the office.

As opposed to Obama or Hillary or Edwards experience? Bwaahhaa!

In all honesty we don’t need new ideas, we need old ones. Constitutional ideas.

It isn’t necessarily true that we need new ideas. We need to go back to the basics of our party, get a strong backbone, and start standing up. We need to take the reins of the horse, rather than letting the horse take the bit. While there are many disparaging the GOP, and rightly so in most cases, it is the perfect place to come from. I think this has begun this afternoon in the Senate. Let the renovation begin!
