The mother of a US Marine from Memphis killed in Iraq is asking for an injunction against a national women's peace group.
Elke Morris wants to stop the group Codepink from using her son's image in its exhibits and memorials.
Morris is the mother of Captain Robert Secher, who was killed by a sniper in Iraq's Anbar province last year.
She said she received a letter from Codepink several weeks ago saying its members were creating a display that would include names and images of fallen soldiers, including that of her son.
Codepink's traveling exhibit displays more than 130 panels crafted by volunteers, and was displayed in the National Civil Rights Museum courtyard last week.
Morris' lawyer said the exhibit portrays those dead as victims rather than casualties.
Good
I hope she wins too. ~P~
Trolling for the next Cindy Sheehan? The leaders of Code Pink are disgusting.
I hope she wins, too, but she probably won’t. They can’t seem to get that loser from Flagstaff to stop using names on his shirt that parents have sued over. I hate jerks like this who don’t honor the wishes of the family. Who do they think they are? Do they think they know the wishes of these fallen heroes better than their own families would?
The loser from flagstaff was ordered to stop and is refusing in violation of the law.
I hope that a good troop supporting group takes up a collection to help Elke Morris pay her legal fees.
PINGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGG!
Not only does this group portray Elke’s son as a victim, they think him an idiot, a loser, a babykiller, a warmonger. I hope Elke kicks butt.
Code Pink should be locked up for a variety of reasons. This is not free speech. It’s identity theft of the worst kind. It’s cruelty. It’s verbal and emotional abuse. I could go on, but who wants me to.
They are the GATHERING OF VULTURES
I been calling them that for only 2 weeks, but boy, is it fitting
If she has a legal defense set up, I’ll gladly donate what I can.
I am sure Blurtha is very proud of their latest actions. So many to replace Sheehan. Useful idiots on a honorless mission.
POP & Debbie. Have you heard anything about this? ...any talk among Gold Star Parents about banding together to support this parent’s effort?
I'm thinking of suing the parents of this, uh, thing, just for having, uh, it. Whatever it is... And the photographer and the web hosting firm!
I hope she sued them for all they’re worth, and that the court will also issue an injunction for all of Code Pink to finally take a shower.
bumpin’ it, baaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaby!
How is YOUR guy doing?
Fair to middlin’. Tan?
Middlin’ to fair, I guess. Got him through high school. He’s too little and impetuous to be a Marine, so next step is community college. Maybe he’ll end up as the family’s small-arms designer, as Karl seemed poised to do. He’s a techie, for sure.
