Hmmm, maybe he really is retarded like all my liberal friends have been telling me.

I know it sure is hard as hell for me to defend him against their attacks these days.

This just goes to show you how out of touch Bush is with the Conservatives and the American people.

Beautifully put, Doctor Don. Your eloquent rant reflects so much of what many of us feel. For me at least, ABANDONMENT ranks highest on the list...

If you get a march together, please let me know. I’m in TN, but will find a way to get there. This travesty has to be stopped dead in its tracks!

I've started a list. You're in the second spot right behind sonic109.

Yeah, and his daddy was surprised by laser scanners in the store checkout aisle.

Maybe it really does run in the family.

I am - when I buy my medications. Only I don’t have to order them from a drugstore in Canada in order to pay $250 plus customs fees [$450 in USA) - now I get to order them thru my health provider’s pharmacy for $53.

The plan is working very well .. and even it’s harshest critic - the AARP (extreme lefty) - has had to recant their disapproval.

On the teams I’ve been on, my quarterback didn’t hand the other team the ball so they could score a touchdown.

Thanks. I do not mind if you send it off to your Senator or keep a copy, or both, be my guest—and that goes for anyone so inclined.

Well I am cuprised that he is so out of touch with the base.

Why are you surprised? The nut (Dubya) doesn't fall to far from the tree (George H. W.)

This is what you get when you have a blue-blood selling America out to prove his virtue.
Bush surrounded himself with people who have similar opinions and shows contempt for those who disagree. He doesn't read opposition press. Of course he is clueless.

Neither am I. I used to scoff at that too. Funny thing though. GWB’s daddy used those exact words in one of his speeches.

It's a technical point, but Bush I used the phrase "New World Order" not "One World Order." And, along the way to the the NWO, Bush II is trying to give us the North American Union (NAU). Maybe he wants to be known as one of its Founding Fathers.

"He was surprised by the reaction," Mr. Snow said of Mr. Bush's speech in Glynco, Ga., last week...

He came to my hometown, and in front of a bunch of paid employees ( shades of Bill Clinton's corrupt, criminal, and fraudulent era ) insulted and demeaned me. Any many other formerly loyal backers.

And he's surprised?

I was a reluctant supporter in 2000, and enthusiastic supporter after 9-11, and an increasingly wary, and weary, supporter after the 2004 election, where the wheels seemed to come of his Administration.

Now?

I want my 2 votes back. I cannot wait for these clowns to become history.

I supported and voted twice for President Bush.
Can’t say I’m happy other then to say the alternative most probaably would have been far worse.

“For example, why the heck are they doing this?”

Here’s an article that says it is a political miscalculation; a screwball attempt to get more Republican voters:

I’m afraid this isn’t sarcasm. Have you gone to the spp.gov site? The Texas Corridor is a part of it...that’s why we are upset in Texas.

That’s the only reason I can think of that is generating all of this hubris from D.C. They are laying the groundwork for the uniting now, I think, then add a little more to it a little later. Why else would Senator Kay Bailey Hutchinson and her staff lie so well? She stresses she’s against this; however, every vote I heard from her last night didn’t support that position.

Maybe it’s impossible... but, if the government can’t somehow verify citizenship status (quickly, and effectively) then I don’t see how businesses can be held accountable to serious penalties for being duped by fake documents. This is the crux of this problem.

I don’t happen to think this is impossible. It might be more than our feckless government can accomplish. But, private enterprise has already found pretty good ways to verify identity. It’s a battle... yes.. and sometimes it seems the cheats are winning.

But, ultimately... I think we must cut off the access to open work if we really want to stop this avalanche of illegal immigration.

“Does anyone our there feel like they have been left out in the cold. I mean while everyone officially that is, Jeb Bush, etc. are signing on to the immigration bill, does anyone feel like there is something we don’t know?

For example, why the heck are they doing this?”

At first, I believed it was because these guys thought they were doing the right thing... But the continued support for it after being informed only abour 25% of Americans agree, and about 50% totally disagree, leads me to believe that there’s something going on behind the scenes.

There has to be... This defies any sort of logic. Politicians lining up to throw themselves off a cliff... it makes no sense! What don’t we know?
