Luntz uses an interesting method that allows tracking of the reactions to the candidates in real time.

Luntz uses focus group methods. People are interviewed before and after watching the debate. During the debate they have a big dial in front of them that the can turn - right for agree, left for disagree.

For a variety of reasons I don't think his methods are that meaningful. (most people don't analyze things in that detail, most people only 1/2 watch the debates, etc. )

Interesting results from Luntz.

I thought Romney was a little off his game last night. Although, he looked like the one who was in CNN’s cross hairs on this round.

Maybe that’s just my view since I thought he won the two previous outings. It’s possible that Luntz’s folks didn’t have such high expectations.

McLame lost eh? too bad, he’s toast.

Next to fall with be Rudy, especially if Fred and Newt get in.

Romney? well, he might make a good VP if he could guarantee MA’s elctoral votes.

Lutz said that Obama bombed out in the RAT debate and now Obama is tied with Hildebeast! Go Figure. Lutz said the Edwards won the debate. Edwards is slick, nothing else. I guess most voters are what they are.

Romney sounds more and more appealing. His stated position on illegals, boarder enforcement, Iran, taxes, minimal government.....; his track record in politics, Salt Lake city and his personal affairs...... His education and his consistency over time on these positions. The guy appears truly conservative and might be the most “pragmatic” political figure there is running for Presidency, party indifferent. I hope his campaign goes well and that we get more to hear from him.

This is delicious. The highest, most off the chart positive reaction by Republicans and Independents EVER was the Mormon question. This is tangible PROOF that the Mormon question not only DOES NOT hurt him but in fact it HELPS HIM!

Ummm, care to comment FC? Or are we going to get a lecture about irrational Mormons or some other tripe?

This impressive response is to the question on supposedly his greatest weakness, The Mormon Thing.

This Luntz clip is likely causing significant consternation amongst the Dems, who have likely already directed the MSM to redouble their production of Get Mitt hit pieces. This is not a candidate they want to face.

[6-6 debate]

Is 6-6 the date? It was on 6-5.

Romney did outshine the field as Presidential. Others did not seem to rise above congressional candidates, except perhaps Huckabee and Paul.

I watched the debate and I thought that Huckabee, and Tancrado did very well but Rudy won with the bolt of lighting from God.

I thought Romney looked nervous and stumbled at times and was way too wordy

I think this overstates Romney’s performance. He did well enough, but seemed to rely on platitudes to the point of being plastic.

It seems, the lightning strike notwithstanding, that Rudy Giuliani gave the best performance on this occasion.

Who gives a crap? None of the so called “Top Three” are worth voting for anyway. I’m for Fred. At least for now.
