I nominate this Protzman guy for A-hole cop of the year award. Arresting someone for "staring" at your dog???? What kind of people are we giving guns and badges to these days??? And why did it take so long for the prosecutor to view the videotape and drop the charges??? Only in America.

I wonder how this State Police sergeant will handle Google Street View?

What kind of people are we giving guns and badges to these days? Kids that got picked on in school? People who can't hack it in the private sector? Megalomaniacs? Take your pick.

"You made this up, right?"
One would think that you would have to make this up in the land of the free and the home of the brave. I'm just waiting for the 7 billion CCTV cameras to spring up all across America so we can be under surveillance 24 hours a day and using facial recognition software be issued tickets for spitting on the sidewalk or jaywalking. It will be a two-pronged effort to pour money into the coffers and boost the failing US Postal Service.

She likened the act to giving a police officer the finger a form of expression protected by rights accorded under the First Amendment. Still not a smart thing to do.....

I don’t know if dressing your dog up as Yoda rises to the level of animal cruelty, but that’s pretty doggone funny.

The Vermont State Police sergeant abused his/her/its power. This power is granted to the police for the common good, not to make a cop act out his/her/its dictator fantasies.
To: TornadoAlley3
Now, THAT’s cruelty to an animal. How humiliating.

Maybe the prosecutor had been trained by Mike Nifong.

“Mom....she’s staring at my dog again!!” This is really funny and I cannot believe the cop actually arrested her for this. Seems to me the dog ought to lift his leg on the officer in retaliation for his stupidity!

Sgt. Protzman needs to find another career, pronto. Perhaps the TSA is hiring.
McDonald's, maybe?

I'm sure the good sergeant will face internal discipline and be charged with false arrest. The flying pigs told me so.
