I think he probably is too. Way back when, I heard Romney on a radio interview, and looked him up. I considered him a formidable candidate based on the interview, and I think I was correct.

Even so I've always maintained that I didn't believe the eventual nominee was in the race yet. I felt we didn't know who he was yet. Maybe I was just being an optimist that the ones everyone WAS talking about were destined to fail.

Anyway, when Fredmania started percolating, I thought this must be him. He hasn't totally wowed me as a speechafier, but he does have a lot of excellent commincation skills. Obviously. It looks like it comes down to Romney and Fred. I don't even take Rudy seriously, and the others aren't even worth mentioning. That includes Newt.

I think Thompson is sharpening his skill sets and preparing his way for a run he originally never considered taking.

I think most all of the folks you see running dreamed about it for years if not decades.
I think Fred kind of realized this was an opportunity he saw coming at him and he feels he can really do a good job, so he is in.

I’m glad he is going in, but I pray the man not travel to many places like Israel where he would be target #1 by terrorist who would prefer to see a Hillary win.
