If I recall correctly, Paul did not call for the federal government to spend money on education or medicine. He would no doubt do so personally as he had done in the past, and the tax savings from money not spent overseas would result in more liberty for the states and the people to do the same.
Oh no doubt that’s what he meant. But people read things wrongly a lot these days, you know what I’m sayin’? ;)
I’m willing to give Paul the benefit of the doubt on the education issue, as I am familiar with his stance on it.
However, I will say that he really needs to work on his delivery then, as it sure didn’t sound good when he used the clichés of the “liberal anti-war” crowd when talking about the Iraq war, and especially not when he answered the last question...
