“The election is more than a year-and-a-half away... Holding ANY debate this early in the cycle is kind of ridiculous, IMHO. (I understand that about the primaries and still think it’s too early for this). The average American is tired of politics by the time the election rolls around already.”

Of course it’s early, it’s early for ALL of the candidates. If Fred plans to run, he should not be exempt from debating. Is he avoiding announcing he’ll run until the debates are over, or what? Pretty lame.

As for waiting till the debates are over — I don’t think that’s the reason Kimberly. He did have contractual agreements, etc... He also just filed paperwork last Friday for his committee. I personally think Fred’s strategy at this point is great as he’s getting a TON of coverage without spending a dime, yet, but that’s my personal opinion and you, of course, are free to disagree.
