Somebody observed that the volume level was turned down by the mixing people during the applause for Paul. I did not pay that close attention, but do you think it was the case?

No wonder so many Americans are apathetic.

Everyone got this right? _____________________________________________________________ Shouldn’t the GOP nationally be following that Arnold Schwarzenegger example in California?

REP. HUNTER: No. (Laughter.) And let me just say, you know, I look at Governor Romney, Mayor Giuliani, my good friend John McCain. Governor Romney joined with Bill Clinton for the 1994 gun ban when I was fighting that. Mayor Giuliani stood with him at the White House on that. Governor Romney has passed what I consider to be a major step toward socialism with respect to his mandated health care bill. John McCain is standing strong with Ted Kennedy on this Kennedy- McCain-Bush border enforcement bill.

I think the guy who’s got the most influence right here with these three gentlemen is Ted Kennedy. And I think we need to move away from the Kennedy Wing of the Republican Party. (Applause.)

It was his last comment, where he said he’d used the money cut from foreign policy issues and divert it to education and medical care in the U.S.

Because there is hope that Ron Paul may talk some sense into people.

I didn’t know that you were from Arkansas. BTW, if the fine folks of Arkansas don’t like Huckabee, how did he serve as Governor for 10 1/2 years?

Probably the same way Dubya won two elections; the alternative choices were terrible.

and in the end CNN puts Begala on commenting on the Republican
candidates ......give me a break....
Republicans should ONLY allow Fox to carry their debates.
What is the RNC thinking? I think Soros has got it infiltrated

So much for wRong Paul’s undying devotion to the Constitution and small government. He sounded more like the Hilla Monster. I guess he realized he has no chance of winning over conservatives after his anti-American comments regarding the 9/11 attacks so he has decided to go for the liberal vote. It looks like wRong isn’t the man of impeccable character his supporters here thought he was.

Thanks Ultra Sonic 007, I appreciate it. I didn’t have a chance to respond because I was too busy trying to debate another Paul supporter on another thread... UGH!!!

If I recall correctly, Paul did not call for the federal government to spend money on education or medicine. He would no doubt do so personally as he had done in the past, and the tax savings from money not spent overseas would result in more liberty for the states and the people to do the same.
