“NO question in my mind that Duncan Hunter won this debate solidly.”

He absolutely did! Hands down, and on every issue.

Did you see it? It harmed Tancredo more than President Bush. He seemed petty.

I want Republicans to be going after Democrats full bore. I'll support the Republican who is willing to consistently beat up on Democrats the way Democrats beat up on Republicans. I'm sick and tired of my party playing defense.

Going after Republicans at this stage seems like desperation.

BTW Duncan Hunter did a slam dunk, over and over and over! He should be the one who is greatly elevated by that debate

Agreed. It fits the conservative bill.

Before I say ANYTHING else I want to go on record as to how abundantly clear it is that anyone on that stage tonight is leaps and bounds better than anyone who stood there night before last!

The compare and contrast is astounding.

No meandering nonsense.

Brownback stinks. Tancredo sounded like Hillary (screechy) and Romeny meandered in the last few questions something awful. Paul was as nutty as usual. Gilmore should stay in virginny. Huckabee was OK. Rudy was OK.

I agree with you that Thompson is not that impressive tonight. I was hoping he’d be sharper.

Thanks pissant, it was meant to be!

BTW, I have not read this whole thread. Maybe someone else caught it too.

But Mike Huckabee messed up bigtime tonight. He said today was Reagan’s birthday.

Not true.

I actually proposed two systems during a debate on HillaryCare. System one provided exactly equal healthcare to everyone. System two provided two levels of healthcare but the lowest level exceeded the level of the first system. The leftists prefered the equal but lesser system even though everyone received less. It was ‘fair’.

There may be a hidden agenda. They may think that if everyone is tied to the same rock, then the rich will want to pay higher taxes in order to get the kind of health care they want for themselves even if part (most) of their money goes for the healthcare of others.

I sure as heck am not afraid of Fred T candidacy. In fact, he’ll take votes away from Rudy which will help my guy. It just ticks me off that he’s sitting there spewing - talk about B.S.! - while the other guys put themselves out there for three debates now while your guy waits in the wings, testing the waters and letting the others do all the work and take all the heat. Johnny come lately. He’s not paying his dues. Not kosher.

Yep. Paul is a useless idiot up there on that stage babbling about thing he knows nothing about and hasn’t the sense to reason with. He has no business even being there.

Let’s take Rudy’s foreign policy and combine it with Ron Paul’s domestic policy, constitutionalism, and ethical principles and we’ll have the perfect candidate. (Well, we can throw in Tancredo’s strength on immigration too)

Rudy crossed himself up with that Lincoln quote when he cited the rule of law as a prerequisite for aspiring Americans. What a tool!
