BRILLIANT!
Pilate was just doing his job and left the decision up to the people. They liked Barabbas. That’s not Pilate’s fault.
Why doesn’t His Eminence also condemn the many Irish Catholic politicians who are also pro-abortion?

Democracy in action - three wolves and a sheep voting on what to have for dinner.
There are times when we do what the majority wants, and times when we don’t.
Bishop Thomas J. Tobin has a message for Catholic politicians - such as U.S. Sen. Jack Reed and Lt. Gov. Charles Fogarty -- who see their public duties as clashing with the tenets of their faith.
Ditch the job.
The bishop is stung by the attitude of pols, like these two Democrats, who personally think abortion is wrong but who, in their government roles, support abortion rights. He told me, "We need some moral courage among our politicians. Where are the people who stand up and say, 'This is what I believe and I will live this and I will proclaim it regardless of where it leads in the electoral process'?" He'd say the same kind of thing about you and your employment. source
I am personally opposed to wife-beating, but it’s not my place to intrude on other people’s families.
He does if you read the whole thing...
Catholic politicians of both parties, nationwide, have followed a similar path in abandoning the Faith for the sake of political expediency: Ted Kennedy, John Kerry, Pat Leahy, Nancy Pelosi, and Joe Biden come quickly to mind. And on a local level, of course, Congressman Patrick Kennedy and Senator Jack Reed. How these intelligent men and women will someday stand before the judgment seat of God and explain why they legitimized the death of countless innocent children in the sin of abortion is beyond me"
A drunken, Irish, apostate from Massachusetts...Duh! ;o)
I am personally opposed to ritual human sacrifice, but I realize it is a tradition of many native peoples, so I’m not going to...

WITHOUT A DOUBT - My R.S.V.P. to Rudy Giuliani

Where is the good Bishop’s criticism of Ted Kennedy and John Kerry, both good Catholic boys who have done more to aid abortion in the US than Gulianni ever has?
How dare you put them on the same level!
;o)
Read the article. He singles out Giuliani for criticism because the Giuliani campaign decided to invite him to a fund-raiser.
Well, I personally oppose murder, but many people are inconvenienced by other people who decrease their quality of life, and since their life is being affected I won’t judge or impose my beliefs on anyone else.
Oh, and just because a Roman Catholic bishop critises Rudy, doesn’t mean he would endorse Romney. I think most conservative RCs would consider mormonism to be a cult.
the Bishop had better be condemning Romeny and Kennedy as well....and Pelosi and the rest.....all abortion "haters" but supporters and proponents of it ...
