Wilson says 'good riddance' to Scooter Libby, Cheney should be next.
Former Ambassador Joe Wilson, whose wife Valerie Plame was at the heart of the Lewis "Scooter" Libby case, showed no mercy following the announcement of Libby's jail sentence. Libby was sentenced to 30 months in prison and fined $250,000 for lying to federal investigators about his role in the outing of former CIA operative Valerie Plame, Wilson's wife.
Here's the Wilson statement in full:
“As Americans, both Valerie and I are grateful that justice has been served, reconfirming that our country remains a nation of laws.
We are also saddened for the pain that Mr. Libby has inflicted on his family, friends, and the nation. Mr. Libby benefited from the best this country had to offer: the finest schools, a lucrative career as a lawyer and many years of service in Republican administrations. That he would knowingly lie, perjure himself and obstruct a legitimate criminal investigation is incomprehensible.
It is our hope that he will now cooperate with Special Counsel Fitzgerald in his efforts to get to the truth. As Mr. Fitzgerald has said, a cloud remains over the Vice President.
Every official in this administration must be held accountable for their actions.”
Is this just bluster -- or is Fitzgerald investigating Cheney? I've seen nothing about that in the news. Isn't this over already?

And what is the name of the reporter who came out and admitted that Valerie Plame’s name was actually released by someone else, and not Scooter Libby? So, Mr. Wilson, let’s just completely ignore the facts surrounding this case and make mountains from ant hills. What a moron!!!!!!!!
When are we going to see the liar Wilson indicted...and let’s throw his complicit wife into that mix.
After being betrayed by this adminstration, I for one will not shed a tear.
1. Libby didn't have a role in "outing" her.
2. Since they KNOW who "outed" her and chose not to pursue any charges against Armitage, there was obviously nothing to investigate in the first place.
An administration that refuses to defend itself does not deserve to be defended by others.
Astonishing that the GOP and conservatives let this imp triumph. Ruin him. Now.

Personally, I’d like to say goodbye to Wilson and his ‘Spook Spouse’ ... permanently. I hear Nigeria is looking for home investors.
This is such an outrage and miscarriage of Justice; it is sickening. The silence of Leadership Repubs is as well.
Is there NO recourse against Fitzgerald and the treasonous and viral weasels - known as Demrats - that hide in our Justice Department and abusing their power and position as never before; so as exert their will. . .to bring down a sitting President. . .

wilson and plame are two of the more disgusting people in the news of late-i think they are dirty and have no use for this country if it comes to a choice between their benefit or the nation’s-as far as libby goes-what is it that he did anyway?-mark me as stupid on this one,but i’m not sure what crime he committed-wilson was selected for a mission by his wife-no problem there,huh?
