But if they DID cash a fully voided check, they could be in violation of federal postal fraud laws, and other laws including felonies (theft). That would be fun.

Thanks for the link! I just E-Mailed both Cornyn and Hutchison once again. I’m going to call again tomorrow as well.
On another note, some guy from the Republican Party called my wife Monday morning. When he asked for a donation, she told him in no uncertain terms that our checkbook was closed to the Party at this time and would remain closed if this “immigration” (Read Amnesty) travesty of a Bill is passed. He asked if she wanted Hillary as President and she said “no” but that she was extremely dissapointed in Bush as well as disgusted by him. The caller responded by saying thats the consensus of just about everybody they call.
He may have been working for a campaign as the stated purpose of the call was a “Presidential Preference Poll”.

Another fun game would have been to mail in checks made out to George Bush (or fill in the blank GOP candidate) during their campaign with “loan” written below. When your candidate sells you out, demand repayment of the loan. Imagine the pressure Bush would have now if he had to repay all the money conservatives sent him during his campaign because of his shamnesty.
From now on, any donations I send to conservative candidates will be a loan - if the politician flip flops on his campaign position like Kyl did, demand your money back.

If someone had told me a year ago that George W. Bush would lose my support and my confidence, I’d of laughed in their face. What I’ve learned is never say never.
I’m nearly ready to leave the Republican Party. I joined at the time Regan was elected and have been a loyal member since. This arrogant slap in the face from our elected officials is a wake up call to me. Basically, do I want to stay in a political party where the men and women I voted for view me as a hate filled, rednecked, gun toting nativist? The answer of course is no. I deserve better than that. We all do.
It begs the question: What is worse an Amnesty Bill for people who willingly break our laws or Republican Senators who are hell bent to cram that same bill down our throats?

Mr. President, people who truly desire to embrace Americanism do not start their citizenship as criminals having violated our sovereignty. They come here legally. They do not come here illegally then stage repeated massive protests, threatening to cripple the economy that enables them to flood their countries of origin with our currency.Very good. I've always wondered why these morons want to duplicate the flaws here of the country that can't support them.

What State and what Senator said to give them one more try?

If you change your affiliation, it locks you out of the primaries in most states. The primaries are where we can get changes if we are united. Don't send any money to the national party (it goes to candidates like McCain and Specter), instead send it directly to the candidate of your choice.
Don't direct your anger only at Republicans (although they do deserve it, especially Bush), remember that the RATS are in lockstep on this and a lot of their base are willing to punish them also (if 60% to 70% of us are against amnesty, that has to include a lot of RATS).

Mail checks to the RNC for $100, $500, or even $1000. But then clearly VOID the checkI like that. If I write a bunch today, they'll be on the Hill tomorrow.

I wrote my Congressman and my 2 Senators about amnesty and the illegals coming into Texas. Kay Bailey Hutchison sent back a form letter thanking me for my opinions on Iraq! I got a form letter from her too...but it was explaining her position in 2006....DUH!
My second letter has not produced a response....

You have betrayed our Trust, President Bush. You are blinded by your loyalty to the wrong people.
I am starting to question the truth about everything you have told us. I have lost confidence in you as a leader of the American people.
And you could care less about what we think.
