So it's official: the "Arthur Branch for District Attorney" campaign has become the "Fred Thompson for President" campaign.
We hear that Ken Khachigian -- known as the "lion" of California GOP politics -- has been hired as a national adviser and strategist to the presidential campaign of the former senator from Tennessee. Khachigian is an attorney who served as a senior political adviser and speechwriter to President Ronald Reagan, for whom he crafted some of the late GOP president's most memorable phrases.

Looks like Fred is surrounding himself with all the Bush crowd that got us here. George P. Bush is already touting him. He’s lost me.

“Hes lost me.”
I doubt he ever had you. You are a Romney supporter, and your statement smacks of being disingenuous.
Whatever, we don’t need you anyway.

Khachigian served as National Senior Adviser to presidential nominee Robert Dole in 1996 and Senator John McCain in 2000.
As they say, the third time is the charm.

I’m thinkin’ Hunter/Thompson is the ideal ticket.
Then, half the hippies in the Democrat Party would think they were voting for Hunter Thompsom—never mind he’s been dead a few years, what do they know?—
We’d win in a landslide. Of course the flashbacks to little old ladies in Palm Beach county who thought they accidentally voted for Pat Buchanan instead of Algore would just be icing on the cake.
Hmmmmmmmm—there’s gotta be a tagline in there somewhere.

Don’t you love how all the gnats think we can’t read and completely ignore “Khachigian is an attorney who served as a senior political adviser and speechwriter to President Ronald Reagan”.
Fredophobia is a wonderful thing.

Actually it's the 5th time: #'s 1 and 2 being his working for that whatshisname actor widely accused of being sleepy, not a hard worker and too old who nonetheless got himself elected to the Presidency twice.
