Joe Scarborough offers his keen insight and classy analysis into today's political scene in an interview this morning with Congressional Quarterly's Craig Crawford. During the Morning Joe program on MS-NBC, Scarborough suggested that Fred Thompson's wife is a whore (via the Palmetto Scoop):
SCARBOROUGH: Have you seen Fred Thompsons wife? CRAWFORD: Oh, yeah.
SCARBOROUGH: You think she thinks she works the pole?
CRAWFORD: Thats what a Hollywood career will do for you, I guess.
SCARBOROUGH: What do you mean?
CRAWFORD: You get wives like that.
SCARBOROUGH: I mean, look at that guy. God bless him, I love his voice. But I mean, you know. He aint Robert Redford in Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid.
CRAWFORD: Well I would like to see him back into politics because I think hes a lousy actor.

They sounds like a bunch of petty women.
They sound like a bunch of petty women.
These guys are so cheesy. How abut Mrs. John Edwards saying to the Politico that some gay guy was interested in her hubby. Maybe it was Edwards doing the Pole Dance.
Jeri needs to get out there and look smart and wholesome.
will be a common point raised for Fred thompson. When you look like him, and have a wife that lookes like her, these comments will be repeated over and over.
You know, those are some shallow people. I fell for a guy with a hair lip (sp) in high school. to me he was all the handsome I needed. He had a wonderful heart and high moral values. These freaks can’t see past boobs and lipstick! Idiots! Also, Fred Thompson is not bad looking and he is not the richest man in Holywood I am sure.
From what I've read, Jeri's a smart gal. She's not a middle aged matron, and frankly, I hope she doesn't try to dress like one just to please folks who will nag, no matter what she wears. I believe she'll know exactly how to dress and for which occasions.
The libs will play this up and most American woman, especially those whose husbands left them for someone younger are going to be looking at his wife as the trophy wife and not vote for Fred.
Bye, Bye Fred. It was nice knowing you....
But that's the result of American culture like it or not, and its here to stay.
That is very insulting Joe! I hope you regret making it. Please, next time you engage the brain before engaging the mouth.
Or the bumpersticker on John Edwards car that says "I BREAK FOR HOT STUDS!"
I guess "works the pole" is Whitespeak for "ho?" At least it won't get you thrown off the air.

Varrry niiiice, high five!
She wasn’t some young hollywood actress-wanabee. She was a republican consultant, and supposed to be really conservative.
Maybe someone better than me can't post side-by-side pictures of Scarborough and Jughead from the Archie comic books.
This mitigates the entire circumstance of the episode, IMO.
She sounds intelligent and fabulous. But a pic is worth 1000 words.
Yep. From what I’ve read, Fred has to beat the ladies off with a stick. They can’t figure it out and they are jealous.
Joe's alleged brain has been rotten ever since he left Congress and got into "show biz". He would rather be known now as a smirking, smarta## TV personality instead of the conservative but somewhat flamboyant FL Congressman he once was.
It makes me wonder if he was ever a real conservative at all, or just rode that horse to Washington to get noticed and into show biz. I kept up with his political career to some extent when I lived in FL, but now I have lost any respect I ever had for him.
“Buried deep in the article in UPDATE III it says that the traffic or weather girl who was on just prior mentioned how she works the pole for exercise to stay in shape.
This mitigates the entire circumstance of the episode, IMO.”
mmmm....I don’t thinks so. Joe’s still an ass. Obviously, spending too much time with Olberman.
