Well, she did such a magnificent job with Katrina, I’m sure she’ll appoint someone worthy of continuing the the William Jefferson legacy. In fact, I’d bet on it.
No appointments are possible for the U.S. House — it’s in the Constitution. Special elections are required, and the Jefferson district is 90 percent Democrat. People there really admire Jefferson as a “poor boy” done well.
