He will STILL hold on to his office, his committees, his seat in Congress....why? Because he’s a Democrat and Democrats WANT their leaders to be bad.....it’s a badge of honor....witness Bill Clinton.
It's only Republicans who have a House caucus rule that indicted leaders must step down from posts. It's also interesting to note that when Republicans tried to change their caucus rule to protect Tom DeLay from Ronnie Earle, Democrats cried foul so loudly that the Republicans eventually caved, resulting in DeLay stepping down from his leadership role.
It's amazing that Republicans didn't even have the guts to manage their OWN rules their own way. Let's see what the Democrats now do about Jefferson, and how the Republicans react to them.
