It’s time for real men and women to start considering taking on McConnell in the primary. Even if he is finally scared in to voting against this perfidious outrage he should be dumped for even hesitating to lead the fight. The damned bill is just that dangerous. Ky needs another 100% real time conservative in the Senate. Badly.

“...needed amendments...” my ass. Is this some kind of trick? THE BILL IS BAD IN ITS ENTIRETY.
How about we do this: We’ll give the feds four years TO ENFORCE EXISTING IMMIGRATION LAWS, INCLUDING FINISHING THE FENCE AND DEPORTING CRIMINAL ALIENS (all illegals are criminals). Then we won’t need the damned bill. If they can’t enforce the laws we have now they won’t enforce the new one.

it's very disappointing that this many conservatives approve of President Bush's handling of immigration. With the seriousness of this issue, I thought more would be informed. This weekend I talked to more neighbors that were fully aware of the destruction this bill will do to our Republic. If anywhere near 35% of conservatives support this, then I don't know how it will be stopped. I hope the poll question skewed the results.
Some of that 35% are probably the Bush die hards while the rest are business owners who hire illegals. The most striking part of that poll is that only 29% overall support this policy, which means a lot of independents and democrats are also against the bill but the democratic leadership ignores them as well because they see millions of new voters coming if this passes.
Most polls are rigged one way or another.

I tried for half an hour, constant busy signal. I finally called one of his state offices. I also agree that his staff comes off as ‘could care less’.

I called this number, they listened for about one sentence “Good afternoon, I am calling to ask the Senator to not support this Amnesty bill” at which point they hung up.
