This is bad. Which Senators are most vulnerable? Who should we target to make sure this bill is fillibustered?
We need a list of GOP Senators that we can call and threaten no more contributions, no more support and whom we will vote against in primaries to stop this abomination.

"One [proposed amendment] sponsored by Sen. John Cornyn (R-Tex.), would expand the list of crimes making illegal immigrants ineligible for legalization. Cornyn has emphasized infractions such as gang activity and "aggravated felonies." "Democrats say the list would virtually wipe out the legalization program by barring undocumented workers who ignored deportation orders, overstayed their visas or otherwise evaded immigration authorities."

I’m thinking about changing parties (not sure where to go), if Republicans pass this bill. I feel as though we are observing treason transpiring in public view.
To: farmer18th
Changing parties won’t help, not donating a nickle and working against incumbents who were for this is a far more valuable tool IMO.
Others may disagree, but this is real betrayal by all those voting this version of amnesty.

I am going to register independent for the next election....but I have a feeling that it really won’t matter....there is something going on that seems dark and evil to me.

They may be saying this, but the RNC has canned its phone bank operation because donations were off 40% according to stories in the past week. Methinks they know better. Whether they will act based on what they know is another matter. They alas remain the stupid party.
To: South40
That’s right, the MSM is using misleading polls to stifle opposition by insinuating that the majority who back this bill is too great to overcome. That’s how they’ve kept the Democrats in power for decades. They want us to cave! Let’s disappoint them.
To: JohnBovenmyer
Plus there has been a substantial shift of corporate giving to the Democrat party. The Republicans are going to be significantly outspent in the 2008 election for Congress.

So just what are we going to do when this pig passes (and I am afraid it will)?

TO ALL Republican candidates running for nomination of POTUS, tell us if this bill passes into law, what will you do to revoke it and when will you revoke it?
This is the question to pose to the debating Repubs, email them.

Wishful thinking on the part of the WaPo reporter. That’s what this is all about.

TO ALL Republican candidates running for nomination of POTUS, tell us if this bill passes into law, what will you do to revoke it and when will you revoke it? Once its law it can't be revoked. However, I doubt it will even pass into law. This whole article is nothing but wishful thinking on the part of the WaPo.

Still, we need to hit them hard. Let all RINO’s know that their careers are finished if this crap passes.
