Just when the dust was beginning to settle following President Bush's latest assault on common sense, in which he accused conservatives of "spreading fear" by being honest about amnesty, Senator John McCain decided that fear mongering was not such a bad tactic after all. In fact, McCain decided that fear mongering was essential in trying to sell his amnesty snake oil to a skeptical and increasingly suspicious public.
On June 2, McCain rolled out his fear-based defense of amnesty on the campaign trail in Le Mars, Iowa. Responding to a question about deportation of illegal aliens, McCain delivered the following dilly: "In case you hadn't noticed, the thousands of people who have been relegated to ghettos have risen up and burned cars in France,'' McCain said. "They've got huge problems in France. They have tremendous problems. The police can't even go into certain areas in the suburbs of Paris. I don't want that in the suburbs of America.''

The illegals might actually storm the Capitol and overrun the place and not stop like the folks back in the '60s did...
and because they have been reporting the 30,000,000+ illegals as only 12 million so the citizenry doesn't do the job the illegals might.
He’ll give them amnesty, too.
You just nailed it. Somehow we went from “they are just doing jobs Americans won’t do” to “they will riot and burn cars.” Well, which is it? If it’s the latter, I REALLY want them gone.
This idiot has just encouraged the illegal invaders to coerce Americans through riots. This is infuriating.
Nice to know that bubbas in Arkansas are the same kinds of bubbas and bubbettes we have here in Louisiana
John McCain, a United States Senator and Presiential Candidate, stood up publicly and said “In case you hadn’t noticed, the thousands of people who have been relegated to ghettos have risen up and burned cars in France. They’ve got huge problems in France. They have tremendous problems. The police can’t even go into certain areas in the suburbs of Paris. I don’t want that in the suburbs of America.
In essence, this is what Senator McCain really said(paraphrased), “We cannot enforce our laws. We cannot control lawbreakers. Therefore, we should give in to them and let them have what they want so they won’t cause problems for us.”
Simply unbelievable.
“They’ve got huge problems in France. They have tremendous problems. The police can’t even go into certain areas in the suburbs of Paris. I don’t want that in the suburbs of America.’’
‘’’’’’’’’’’’’’’’’’’’’’’’’’’’’’’’’’’’’’’
Then we better enforce the laws on the books regarding illegal immigration.
in your face!
It’s a very sad state of affairs when the REPUBLICAN party starts threating it’s own with riots in the streets. Sounds like our guys in Washington are REALLLLLY asking for a butt kicking in 2008.
“John McCain Warns Illegal Immigration Enforcement Could Lead to Riots”
And whose side would the current government be on, theirs or ours?
One riot...one Ranger
What will they do (law abiding citizens)? They may protest, but RIOT? You know they won’t, it’s just not something they’ll do. We will not destroy others’ property just so we can get our way. It’s totally un-American.
We are delusioned to think respectable citizens will engage in the same despicable behavior as thugs and thuglets.
Now, as to defend ourselves, re post #230? That would be a serious mistake to disregard and McCain is a fool to think all law abiding, armed citizens would just sit idly by and watch their friends and neighbors being violated.
“In case you hadn’t noticed, the thousands of people who have been relegated to ghettos have risen up and burned cars in France,’’ McCain said. “They’ve got huge problems in France. They have tremendous problems. The police can’t even go into certain areas in the suburbs of Paris. I don’t want that in the suburbs of America”
I believe he is admitting right here that the penalty portions of the Amnesty Bill are never going to be enforced.
Juan McCain. Thats a good one!
But seriously though, every time that I start to believe that a McCain would be better than another Clinton, John just has to rise up like a liberal crossing the street to step in dog crap, and plant his foot squarely on my butt again.
It would really be a true Faustian choice, and one that I am no longer willing to make.
More importantly, whose side would law enforcement and the military be on?
sw
Somebody post a pic of Segolene with her jesus pose for Segolene McCain
