KYL - no need to look forward. Good conservatives sold all of you FReepers out - as I have stated here since 1998 that you have waisted your vote in this fraudulent corrupt Two-Party Cartel. Nothing short of an active revolution will restore American to the ideals of our forefathers. So tomorrow will RUSH flap his jowls like The Mad Mississippian Senator. Just talk while this country goes to hell, Rush. You have the pulpit to get this changed but you won’t. Smoke your cigars & play your golf & I hope with your last breath that you have a conscience & know that you could have mobilized your audience to stop this monumental sellout of America & you did nothing but blab it with half of your brain tied behind you back.

THE BOTTOM LINE IS that the White House is confusing people about whether this is AMNESTY.

They have also lied to people about whether there will be border security — there won’t.

If someone steals your car – and they get to keep your car – that’s amnesty. Suppose a thief stole your car, but they can just pay a fine and keep the car.

Ordinarily, when we are talking about crime and punishment, criminals pay a fine and go to jail but they also must return the car. The punishment does not begin until the stolen property is RETURNED or recovered.

If you can steal a $20,000 car, pay a $5,000 fine, and KEEP the $20,000 car — for a NET GAIN of $15,000, WHERE’S THE PUNISHMENT? That is amnesty. (And the statistics show that illegal aliens will get $21,000 in benefits every year, net of taxes they pay.)

Illegal aliens must leave the USA, not just pay a fine. Under the AMNESTY (there I said it) bill, illegal aliens will get to KEEP what they stole — illegal presence and illegally working inside the USA.

Also, the immigration amnesty bill DOES NOT REQUIRE THE BORDER TO BE CLOSED. The deal allows 12 million invaders to gain instant amnesty with a “Z” visa – even if the border has not been secured. Illegal aliens don’t need citizenship to work, so the border never needs to be secured. The “Z” visa goes into effect immediately.

Then, millions more will follow, by getting false affidavits from their friends that they were in the USA before January 1, 2007.

THIS SHOULD BE CALLED THE OSAMA BIN LADEN / AL QAEDA WELCOME MAT BILL OF 2007. Al Qaeda can walk into the country any time they want, and simply submit fake affidavits when they arrived.

That may be the aim of the Washington comPost, but the quotes highlighted in this article can also serve as an inspiration for sustained/renewed action. The shamnesty boosters think that opposition will die down, and they take heart in early (supposed) evidence supporting that. Will patriots dash their hopes and keep the pressure on, or will complacency reign supreme, with resistance fading away as is hoped?

I agree that this article will be an inspiration for sustained/renewed action against this amnesty bill. I feel that there will be another wave of phone calls, faxes and protests. I'm sure that talk radio and others will be mentioning this article and getting the folks to start contacting these folks again.

I don't know if you heard, but the DC FR Chapter will be FREEPing (protesting) the RNC in DC tommorow at their DC Headquarters (or later this am if you are in the Eastern Time Zone), for their backing of the Senates Amnesty Bill (S-1348). For details, click below:

http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-news/1843841/posts

By the way things are looking, conservatives (sufferers of beaten-wife syndrome) are going to take yet another one for the "team". Anyone who thinks that the latest grassroots blitz against the destroy-America scheme was enough to make Congresscritters see the error of their ways is sadly mistaken - it is going to take MORE, lots more: if more is not provided, the amnesty bill will pass.

I agree. This will take maximum effort from everyone or this bill will pass and we can kiss the America we have known and loved goodbye.

Is it worth calling a Senator who does not represent my state?

Clinton and Schummer will most likely vote for it so my fax/emails will be in vain.

Thankfully my congressman will vote it down.

CALL! CALL! CALL! CALL! AND KEEP CALLING TILL THE LINES FRY!

WRITE! WRITE! WRITE! WRITE! TILL YOU RUN OUT OF INK IN YOUR PEN!

Bombard the Democrats as well, especially the ones that ran on an anti illegal immigration plank and the ones in marginal districts who could be vulnerable. keep pounding on them. This is a bipartisan issue not a Conservative or Liberal issue BUT AN AMERICAN issue.

STOP AMNESTY NOW!! WE CAN DO IT!!

The best way to stop Shamnesty

You are right. There is too much non-action, just talking.

There should be at a minimum mass protests nationwide.

The other excuse I hear is “I have to work”.

The only hopeful thing I got out of the article is it seems to me Kly wants an amendment passed that he says he doesn’t want so he can back out. Could be wishful thinking.

This article, in my opinion, is nothing but a ruse, meant to dishearten those of us who think this amnesty is a done deal.”

How would Jon Kyl know what people think.
Neither he or Sweet Lindsey Graham have made one public appearance during the break. The one event Graham attended before the break, a SC GOP convention, he got booed.

Meanwhile, Jim Demint, has not been hiding and has been meeting with his citizens of SC...the ones he represents is getting standing ovations.

“they believe the voices of opposition, especially from conservatives, represent a small segment of public opinion.”

They thought that too before the mid-term elections last year.
And what did it get them?.... MINORITY STATUS.

“Congresscritters going home and avoiding their constituents.”

You got that right. Neither Kyl or Sweet Lindsey Graham had ANY PUBLIC appearances in their respective states.

“That may be the aim of the Washington comPost, but the quotes highlighted in this article can also serve as an inspiration for sustained/renewed action.”

Quite the opposite. The WP knows if amnesty passes MILLIONS of conservatives will desert the GOP for good, and thus insure another 40 years in the wilderness.
This will not be just another ocassional trainwreck by the GOP, like Harriet Miers or Katrina, but will doom the GOP for years to come.

It may pass the Senate where there aren't many GOP opponents of illegal immigration. But that's a different story in the House where the GOP caucus majority is adamantly against it. They'll enact amnesty - in their dreams.
