Just found this article online, has some good things to say about Fred, then the ending is a bit rude, or gnat-ish, you might say. :-)

Oh Good Lord.
I am sure he is a good man and all, but this is just getting ridiculous.

I'm growing weary of this Reagan mythology. Why can't a Fred Thompson exceed Reagan? He probably won't exclipse Reagan in a number of areas, but why can't he strive to do better than Reagan, especially when it comes to smaller government and actual results?

Thompson himself rejects the idea he is another Reagan. “There has only been one Ronald Reagan, and there will never be another.”

It’s not a job for a man with cancer. The stress ages the healthy ones beyond reason. And, Pelosi is third in line.

Screw the BBC. They’re not interested in another Reagan or another Thatcher.

I did not know Thompson has cancer. What kind?
I certainly don't think that with today's medical advances that it should keep him out of the race by any means, however.

Yes, “Let Fred be Fred” is a good saying. Let him fill his own mould. One-of-a-kind, I’m sure.

Please do some research.

In any case, he would have a vice-president.
