The moderators obviously think otherwise.
I have never said it did, but I do have eyes that observe changes like fall colors, more traffic, leaves blowing in the wind and people who are puzzled by things they don’t understand.
Point understood. Yet you still insist on calling everyone who is against AMNESTY for CRIMINALS (of any race or ethnicity — we are not just dealing with Latinos/Hispanics/Mexicans, etc... but they are the predominant makeup of this group) xenophobes. That is the most ridiculous, and deeply offending thing about all of this. My sister is Half-Mexican, and I lived in West Denver for 2 1/2 years.
There are real cultural problems within this community which is only compounded by those illegals who flout every law on the books. How about the violence that is within this community. Do you know what it is like to hear gunshots every night? Do you know what it’s like to read the paper in the morning knowing that those gunshots you heard were responsible for the death of someone just blocks from your home? Do you know what it’s like to have your yard searched for criminals in the dead of the night while you sit with your children hoping to God whomever they are searching for doesn’t decide to knock down your door to hide? I didn’t think so...
Even the ‘good’ people among illegal immigrants are guilty of ID Theft/Fraud, and/or Tax Evasion. Why should they receive amnesty, and preferential treatment over citizens who committ the same crimes? That is the WORST part of this whole thing. How in the hell can you justify punishing CITIZENS more harshly than those who are here illegally in the first place?
As for bigotry and racism... What this law does is indeed create MORE bigotry and racism. If this law passes then everyone with darker skin or an accent will be treated as a second-class citizen. This is what government programs like amnesty and affirmative action do to our country. You cannot create equality with preferential treatment.
It is not my fault I was born with white skin, and it is not my sister’s fault she was born with brown skin. If this bill passes though my sister will not be looked at as a legal citizen any longer (not that we didn’t put up with racism growing up anyway). No, if this bill passes she will be grouped together with lawbreakers, and criminals. How in the world does that help fight against these issues?
You know, if Martin Luther King Jr. were alive today I think he would agree with me. I too have a dream where ALL people are judged by the content of their character and not the color of their skin. And, if we judge these people based on the content of their character I find illegals who commit ID Theft/Fraud and Tax Evasion seriously lacking in character... be they Mexican, Hispanic, Puerto Rican, Russian, German, Polish, Chinese, Japanese, etc...
Thought you two may be interested in my last post on this thread. See post #63.
LOL, you three! (o:
And you, Chezwick, are "obviously" totally out of place on this conservative forum.
Newt was very good on FNS with Chris Wallace this past weekend.
As I noted 18 months ago, Newts running and making it interesting.
Very well stated. I wonder if the little troll will offer a response? I wouldn’t hold my breath waiting on them.
Thank you. I’m not holding my breath, either... That’s the thing with people like this. I find it’s pretty hard for them to hold an honest debate without resorting to ad hominem attacks. I’m still wondering what Chezwick’s point of view on this bill is besides saying it should and will pass...
And none too soon...
