Rewarding illegal Aliens: Senate Bill Underemines the Rule of Law
Web Memo The Heritage Foundation ^ | 5/23/07 | Kris W Koback, D.Phil., Matthew Spalding, Ph.D.

The most controversial component of the Senate's Secure Borders, Economic Opportunity and Immigration Reform Act of 2007 is Title V1 euphamistically entitled,"Nonimmigrants in the United States Previously in Unlawful Status." It would create a new "Z" visa exclusively for illegal aliens.....

Contents include: The Permanent "Temporary" visa, Hobbled Background Checks, Amnesty for "Absconders", Reverse Justice, Enforcement of Amnesty Not Laws, Amnesty for Gang Mambers, Tuition Subsidies for Illegal Aliens, and Taxpayer-Funded Lawyers for Illegal Aliens.

As Duncan Hunter predicts, if passed, this bill will be the open invitation for increased hordes of illegals to rush our borders, North and South. Mr. President, do what's right for America! Build that fence!

“...if passed, this bill will be the open invitation for increased hordes of illegals to rush our borders, North and South....”

Bush is quite aware of this. That is why he just bought 90,000+ acre ranch in South America. He knows Crawford will be over run with dishwashers, sheet rockers, landscapers as well as rapists, murderers and the like from Messico and points farther south.

Just Google Paraguay+Bush+ranch and you’ll get an eyeful, from a wide variety of sources, some quite credible. Seems that there are reports that the Rev. Moon has bought a 600,000 acre spread next door to our president, and not only that, but there are 500 US troops inexplicably stationed there. It all sounds too fantastical to me. If there is more than just a grain of truth to all this, I just have to wonder what’s coming down the pike, lol.

True, this Bill violate either Article 4 or Article 5 of the US Constitution. I still oppose a wall. It is too costly. Send in the military to FORTIFY the border.

“It is too costly.”

It would cost the American taxpayers nothing if we levied a 10% tax on remittances to foreign countries. Twenty percent on those going to Mexico from Western Union and Xoom.

As I have posted in other threads on immigration, even the 12 million number was a total guess by somebody in D.C. and was not even remotely based on any factual data. About a month or two ago, I read an article (I had thought by one of the founders of the Minuteman) who had worked with one of the think tanks to attempt to derive a better number. His estimate was between 35 and 55 million.

But the scary part about this amnesty bill is how it expands the number of illegals whatever the number. Let’s assume for discussion that the number is as low as 20 million...watch what happens under this bill.

In 1986 just less than 3 million illegals were granted an amnesty (US citizenship); they each brought up on average 5 more family members who also instantly became US citizens, so 3 million X 5 = 15 million + the original 3 mil = 18 million. Now consider the 20 million that have come up since 1986 get amnesty under this new bill, and they haul up 5 more each: 100 million + that 20 = 120,000,000. And what if the existing number is 50 million, the new total will become 250+50=300 million new neighbors. Now consider where they fall economically? At the bottom, unlike legal immigration where we now expect something of value, these illegals bring nothing but 3rd grade educations and the trappings of a failed culture, like grafiti and 3rd world diseases.

NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO TO AMNESTY!!!!

Less bloodshed possible with a double wall. The funds for it are there. What do you think they pay the Military with, peanuts? The bill was signed into law. Let’s enforce at least ONE law here.

>I still oppose a wall. It’s too costly.<

Feeding, housing, medicating, jailing and educating millions of illegals PLUS their families not yet here IS TOO COSTLY, IMO. We have the funds for the wall - cheaper at any cost.

It needs to be removed. Just send in the troops. Enforce Article 4 or Article 5 protecting state-republicanism. We need NO wall.

Very well said! And if this atrocity is passed, our taxes to support them will spiral beyond belief.

” It needs to be removed. Just send in the troops. Enforce Article 4 or Article 5 protecting state-republicanism. We need NO wall.”

What are you thinking? How many troop to guard the entire borders between US and Canada? How much to supply, arm, equip, house and feed them permanently?

According to the Heritage Foundation, every illegal will cost the rest of us a little over $1 million for the whole time they are here...multiply the numbers and the cost is staggering!!!
