What was origianlly a “crusade” to wipe out Islamic terrorists respopnsible for 9-1-1 was morphed inot this mess, trying to create an Islamic republic.
If we pull out without having destroyed the Ayatollahs in Iran and their nuclear program or the Baathist Syrians, we loose too much in the Islamic world.

In part I agree with you, mainly for the reason that Islam, in its current state in most of the world, is totally incompatible with freedom. I also think that Bush completely over estimated the Iraqi people, about half of whom are ignorant savages.
That said, I can think of one good reason for being there: The Bug Zapper. Our presence there draws radical savages in from other countries and we are able to terminate them there. Every single one of these booger eaters would happily come here to raise hell, but we get them there first. Other than that I’ve pretty much come to the conclusion that most Iraqi’s enjoy violence, oppression, murder and the worship of death. Its the only thing they really understand.
Correct me if I am wrong, but didn't the Iraq people vote for their new constitution and not forced on them by the US Government ?
Just as a side note, do you really think in a country like Iraq, a secular constitution would have passed and been ratified?
Islam in itself as the official state religion in the Iraqi constitution is meaningless to a radical Islamic.
The Koran and Shari law supersedes any written document voted for by a democratic means.
In other words the Iraqi constitution is about as meaningful to an radical Islamic as the toilet paper Sheryl Crow using even if it is only one square

So, you are unable to foresee what would happen if we cut and ran?
Beyond that, Islam is once again on the march against civilization, having gotten as far as the gates of Vienna on their last push, and anything that gets bullets flying in their direction is a good thing.
