I went through JFK on Monday. I reported that a laptop was unattended to two TSA “officials” who told me that it was nothing. I then reported it to another “official” who took it a bit more seriously, and eventually someone claimed it.The unattended laptop remained on the table with no one confiscating it.My complaint was handled very unprofessionally. Are these jobs now given to people who can’t be clerks at Whole Foods?I did not feel safe, especially after seeing who has these jobs.

that’s New York for you!! (and I live here)...
anytime I go through LGA or JFK the 99% of the TSA agents lounge around like they don’t give a flying eff....go to a place like MCO (Orlando) of even a smaller city (Mobile/Indy) and it is the complete opposite....
leaving Mobile in January they would not let me through security as my toothpaste was not in the required plastic bag!
Maybe they knew the owner and knew it was nothing.
They very possibly knew it was there and did not want to go into the reason it was still on the table - such as - the passenger was putting on his shoes or speaking with another agent, etc.
Any WholeFoods store I’ve been at would never have the ineffectual TSA people work their checkout line.
Who can afford to just leave a laptop laying around??? Not only are these morons unprofessional, they’ve got a death wish. Idiots!
