And why would that be “better”?
Now you're talkin'
Then we can start rounding up the illegals and send them home.
Then we can enforce the EXISTING laws.
No new legislation needed.
Howzat?
There is nothing “better” about that.
Enforce existing LAWS by:
1. Go into public schools and requiring citizenship by parents.
2. Require proof of citizenship for renting, or owning property. If no proof exists for ownership then give them 30 days to sell it and leave or auction it off and deduct the cost of deportation from the proceeds.
3. Fine an employer 25K or 50K per illegal hired and deport them.
4. Remove the law of being “born” here and citizenship. Deport the entire family.
5. AS they are deported, like any other criminal, take a DNA sample, picture and put them in a federal criminal database.
6. NO, aboslutely NO benefits to illegals wihtout proof of citizenship.
They’ll leave on their own. There will be NO incentive to stay.
There is NO NEED to reward criminals, those the break the law with the very thing they want - citizenship.
Enforce EXISTING LAWS NOW, before we wind up like a third world country speaking Spanish.

One more thing have a fence and a HUGE border patrol. Shoot on sight of anyone trying to cross over or under the fence bordering Mexico and Canada.
You people are dreaming. Actually Alex, your proposal ain’t bad, but I’ll bet anyone 1000 dollars that this country will never, EVER, enforce these laws with any kind of mass deportation. It simply will not be done, EVER. Any kind of remedy, no matter how correct, that includes this provision will NEVER, EVER be implemented. So we need something that will WORK, given the realities we face. We have to stop allowing the Perfect to be the enemy of the Good.
Hannity is nothing more than an empty headed, apologetic buffoon.
To a Dung beetle a pile of Dung is beautiful. So the beetle would like your pile.
Who pays their hospital bills and what do you do about the thousands of twelve year old dropping their kids everywhere. Who pays to educate their kids. Etc, etc.
Simple is simple.
It should be;
A Way Better ILLEGAL Immigration Proposal (Vanity)
You may at some point, figure out that the American CITIZENS have had about enough of this crap.
The Washington elites encouraged the problem because its the way they want it. Write a document that is bigger than a James Michner novel to fix a problem that wouldnt exist if the enforcement provisions promised in the 1986 Amnesty Bill were followed through on. Take away the freebies, sanction employers, and guard the border from drug runners and terrorist and only then will the new arrivals stop coming and the 20 million already here begin to self deport. The elites in Washington have already struck the deals with Mexico and now have to figure out how to get it over on the sheeple. One thing is for certain, they wont give up and do what the vast majority of the citizens of this country want. They want a North American Alliance and this latest scam is to grease the skids for it.
factual error- work visas are NOT granted to Canadians unconditionally. The terms under which a TN visa can be granted are painstakingly spelled out under NAFTA (I read the whole treaty and it gave me a headache for 3 days.) Only certain categories of professionals are covered, they must have a certain minimum level of experience, at least at Bachelors degree in an appropriate field, etc. My company has hired several Canadians for high-tech jobs. Several got rejected for the visa, either because they did not meet one of the criteria spelled out in the treaty, or because some officious immigration bureaucrat was having a bad day and decided to toast their nether-regions.
