It really is Harriet Miers all over again — but this time he’s not backing down. Disappointing, to say the least.

I can’t believe he doesn’t hear the entire American citizenry shouting in his ear that we don’t want amnesty.

Liquidating America during this distraction in Iraq - watch the magicians hands, not the props.

He’s pissing away all his political capital and the democrats don’t have to lift a finger.

Bush really knows what fights to pick.

W loves to play the underdog card, doesn’t he?
To: notes2005
No, we are totally out of the loop. This is the end run in the move to set the stage for enough imported votes to create the North American Union.

On the bright side, al qaeda has no need to attack.
Our Pols. are doing a fine job of destroying the country all by themselves.

All I hear is him trying to pep-talk, not addressing the specifics of this bill. Frankly, the lack of reasoning from their side combined with some GOP’ers basically calling the opposition racists, stupid, or evil pretty much indicates that they can’t answer the criticism of the bill...so why SHOULD I support it?

It’s so telling that the president didn’t push this issue until the Dems took over Congress. Sad, ain’t it?

People with a lot of money want to replace us with third world labor, and Bush is leading the charge to get that done.

How much courage does it take for a lame duck president to push for anything? There are no consequences for him, he views it as standing up to fear mongers who have duped the citizenry when in fact he is the dupee.
