Happy Birthday Tony. I have the same cancer as you a Stage 4 metastases from my colon into my liver. Every Birthday is special to us. I’ve had 5 Birthdays since the initial diagnosis and just coming off my third go around with Chemo. Our cancer is treatable and more of a chronic condition than anything.
Keep your spirits up and always know that there is hope for complete remission. Some of the folks I been counseling still keep in touch with me for when the need an optimistic out look in life even after they’ve been classified as in remission.
Every day is a gift from the Lord and every birthday is a reaffirmation of an achieved milestone. Take your family out for a treat. While our prayers are directed to your health, we both know that Cancer hurts more than the primary sufferer. Our loved ones; friend and family, suffer sometimes more than we do. Not a day goes by where I don’t thank the Lord for all of his blessings and ask Him to give comfort, strength and of course His Love to other Cancer sufferers both Victims and loved ones equally affected.
So I say to you and those you love, Celebrate this day. It is a gift from God. Maybe that’s why they call it “the Present”.
